Set in the near future on a distant frontier torn apart by war, Titanfall drops players in the middle of a conflict between the Interstellar Manufacturing Corporation (IMC) and the Militia. The action is rapid and varied – featuring parkour-style wall running, massive double jumps and the ability to hijack titans. The freedom to shift back and forth between pilot and titan allows players to change tactics on the fly, attacking or escaping depending on the situation and extending the action vertically to new heights.

Can you play the maps offline (using AI players) for when the online players finally disappear?

Its such a shame as playerbase for Titanfall 2 is now dropping as well. No idea why as its the best shooter I've ever played. Intense and addictive. This game has raised the bar so high I refuse to buy any other fps game now.

To be honest, it dropped to around 6k not short after its release. Respawn/Microsoft made the decision to release all the content for free (might be worth linking those, OP) but it really has hung on by the skin of its teeth from the start.
I have no idea why. It really is a great game and worth this price multiple times. It was easy to get in games around the 4-6k mark, and I'd assume with little wait the same could be said now.

I'd say just get Titanfall 2 instead. Respawn said they are remastering the first game's maps for Titanfall 2.

Still mindblowing. Titanfall 2's good in MP, but this one almost feels like the true sequel where they got it all 'right'. Less long range sniping, more scope for ninja parkour and a more populated warzone that just feels more alive than the second game does.
So good. Bargain price too, snap it up before it's impossible to get a game at all.

Ha, I was on it yesterday afternoon, playing Attrition. There are still enough players around generally to get a game, but normally Attrition is the only populated game-type

Very unlikely you'll play it on Steam, it's an EA/Origin game.

Before it's asked. There were 497 players online yesterday.

That's enough for long play.
