Whilst this is nothing against this post and deal as such, which is a great one - my biggest gripe with Nectar is the limited choices it has to spend them - the points look so much more inflated than what they are worth. Given that Sainsbury are their biggest backer, who in turn are expensive like for like than most other big supermarket brands, it means the only choice left is to shop their in a false economy situation almost - where you feel are saving something when in reality you aren't.

Agree, the best thing to do is either spend them in Argos, or wait for double-up promos in store. If they do another promo with Ebay then I might use my points there.

I took the 40000 points for signing up for the Nectar Amex... found petrol is the best use. Similar price to other places so you get the genuine £2.50/500 out of it. No point on food etc as you'd get 4x as much in aldi etc for the same money anyway

I'm sure they did this around the same time last year as well. Bought one of the HP laptops they were doing for £99 and got the £990 points.
However the only time I have ever used Nectar points was on a double-up to buy the kids some Lego Dimension stuff. It was such a faff I doubt I'll bother with it again.
To me Dimension's is a game/toy but they had it under Entertainment in the brochure which I didn't read so of course I got the wrong voucher. Absolute pain to get it changed over.

I love nectar and so really well out of it. I take full advantage of double ups and always get lots of toys and gaming bits from Christmas presents.
