Heat added. Not really a goose chase is it. You go to Tesco and you buy it. Yes, it means you have to leave your house rather than sitting on your backside waiting for somebody to bring it to your door.

These are not bad but I tried to use them on BT TV and it kept buffering. Think I needed something a little better

These are 500Mbps - I seriously doubt they are causing a slow connection.

100% they did. Tried them on my buddys setup too and it did the same. Hard wire it, zero problems. I kind of gave up

Glad Im not the only one  Did you try a different brand or version? I wouldnt mind trying to use them again if I can gert a stable connection but I dont want to dish out cash and keep sending them back

Fair enough. Sounds like they're faulty then, as a powerline adapter with that speed capability should no way be causing connection problems. Do you use the passthrough plugs for anything?
I have the TP-Link TL-PA4030KIT which don't have passthrough, and they work flawlessly (and have done for two years).

Its odd and thought the same as you as 500Mbps is more than enough on papper but just didnt seem to work. I sold them in the end as I didnt have a need for them. Have you used yours on BT TV?

you have to check that your not plugging these into extension sockets as they reduce the bandwidth. so wall socket to wall socket for better results. also they say 500mbps but they can be like 50% of that , (note upto in test labs)

+1. .... I have the same problem on the 600 version. Bloody annoying, can't watch anything on it. Run a cable now, these are gathering dust. I just assumed it was the wiring in the house but it now seems to be a common fault.

Glade plugins are much cheaper and smell like lovely flowers in a meadow, makes me feel very gay indeed

It's unlikely to be the plugs unless they're running on buggy firmware, It may be down to your electrical system. Ideally they need to be on the same ring main. The age of the wiring and quality of the terminations can affect them.

there is a tool for these - it shows the connection speed. I've got 150 between two rooms and real speed w file copy about 50mbits. So for fhd about ok, 4k no.
in-store. crap. need an option to turn instore deals off.
