glthe board is rubbish, but the pieces are nice. if you are teaching your child Chess, not recommended, the pieces are not traditional in the sense you can't intuitively know what a Knight, Bishop etc are.

I bought this for my son, but taught him Chess on a traditional set first. He says 'that was a good move, Daddy, I'm glad you checked mate.....' :laughing:

I'm hearing a lot that the chess board is of poor quality - any one know of where to get a decent one that would go well with these?

I'm sure any collector would love this.

Collector: Just one, I mean they only made the one set, I know I'm a collector but I don't really see the point in collecting the same thing more than once

Thanks Fred was tempted at £23.99 the other day. But under £20 is my biting point.

Edit: If I was going to be fussy though the actual board is pretty poor. Why they needed to write Super Mario "Chess" on there is beyond me. Just a quality chess board would of been better.
