From what I remember RE1-3 weren't first person so not really.

I'll agree that at first I did think it had gone a bit 'outlast' but after that I think it very much has a feel of RE 1-3. Like I said to the other guy once the enemies start varying it feels a lot more like an old RE.

RE6 had classic characters, mercenary modes, cheesy RE storyline and third person gameplay all of which 7 doesn't have. RE7 is just an Outlast clone and RE6 isn't even as bad as people say it is and sure its a dumb action game rather than survival horror but it has some of the best third person gameplay of any game.

How was it more of a Resident Evil game than this? Just because it had familiar characters in it?
I've been playing RE games since the start and number 6 was terrible. 1-3 are more like 7 but I agree that 7 is very different to 6(in fact 4-6) so maybe you only like the action/horror of 4-6 but I think 1-4 are the best, 5 was good, 6 was bad.
I have never complained that RE6 wasn't a real RE, I complained that it was a bad game and I stand by that.
Low standards of course that must be it because I think your attitude towards this game is wrong? It is obviously a problem with me and the millions of others who enjoyed this one, but disliked the travesty that is 6.
Maybe just get back on COD500 yeah?

You have low standards then. Its funny how people hate on RE6 for not being a Resident Evil game yet thats more of a RE game than RE7. This game shouldn't be called Resident Evil as its got nothing in common with previous games. This game makes 6 look like a masterpiece.

You get a variance of enemies the further in you go. There isn't a huge variance but it happens. Once you get to the basement (which should be the first 2 or so hours) you start to see more.

Absolute rubbish. The game is brilliant. Maybe because I did it through VR I found the atmosphere more tense. I don't know. It is a huge step up from the awful 6.

Feel free to go and pay £38.83 on Amazon, £39.99 on Steam or £49.99 on the Windows Store. Failing that, I'm sure there are other, similarly expensive "authorised retailers" who'd happily take your money.

Don't know who posted this and from what region but it's £26.60 with the discount now so this price should be amended.
It's probably the best going atm but the fact that it was ~£23 (disc inc) a few days ago triggers me and then they ramped the price up as people bought from them... :\

I looked three times in one day for a game on cdkeys and each time it had changed, maybe that explains it, just wait for more people to realise you can get it for free and the cdkeys price will drop significantly in the coming weeks

7-10 hours long apparently and supposedly a good game. Just don't like the way CDkeys drops their prices for 1-2 hours to get on here and then bumps them up £2-3 after they are trending on here.
