Yeah, this new one is pretty easy if you don't turn off the way points and opportunity indicators. However, with those turned off and if you choose not to reload from partway through a mission, it's much more of a challenge.
That said, if you've not played a Hitman game for a long time, there's nothing stopping you having the hints etc turned on for a while until you get the hang of things.

If you are a classic Hitman fan, you should be picking this up. I was skeptical, but I chose to bite during the Steam sale, and I've played the game for over 50 hours already. It's delightful. There's one or two specific levels that are a little lame, but the other big levels are awesome and offer tons of replay value. It's the best Hitman game to date. It would be nice if it featured more levels, but once you play it and see the amount of detail and options on each level, you will understand why they went the episodic route.

This new one on default is basically a hand holding, auto save, walking simulator. However, with all the hints off = blood money / contracts sandbox again.

Originally it was Intro pack and Full Experience. Then when they decided to continue in this format for the next game they changed the name to Season 1, though key sites still refer to it by its original name.
Either way, Full Experience or Season 1, you are only getting Season 1 content, and not any future seasons without buying more.
I think the physical editions of this come out at the end of the month, so then we can see the prices tumble

Extra confusingly, CDKeys have product listings for both the Full Experience and the Complete First Season, despite them being the same thing.

I believe the upgrade pack does get you the bonus missions, whereas buying each main mission separately does not.
The upgrade should change your intro pack into a full experience/complete first season (they're the same thing with different names when you're buying them digitally), both of which do include the bonus content.

Does the upgrade pack on cdkeys (link) give you everything that is included in the full experience (including the bonus level), I got the intro pack from the Square Enix Box at Xmas and the upgrade pack is £16.14 so might pick that up once I have had a go at the first level.

One tip: Go to options remove way points and opportunities hints. Then play.

I bought this the other week (for about a quid more...) and I've been really enjoying it.
If all you want to do is run through each mission and move on then this isn't the game for you. I reckon you could easily complete each of the story & bonus assassinations once with less than 10 hours of gameplay.
However, if you want to complete all the challenges, unlock all the extra equipment and fully explore the levels then there's easily 100+ hours of entertainment here. That's before you even start on the escalation missions, contracts and elusive targets.
Oh and in case anyone is wondering, the digital download versions of the "Full Experience" and the "Complete 1st Season" are exactly the same. This has to be one of the most confusingly marketed games I've ever come across...

I take it this give you all of the "Season 1" content, but not future seasons (if there are any). I find their whole episodic model rather confusing tbh :disappointed:

Yes, this is for season 1, it's basically the same model as telltale games  (but longer seasons)
