He said 'Nether of these titles tickle my GTX 1080'. He is talking about putting his graphics card to the test.

DIRT RALLY is interesting me. I bought the G29 when it was £129 with manual box and to date I have only used it for Project cars and Dirt 3
Neither of these titles tickle my GTX 1080 so may pull the trigger on this. The F1 game does not interest me though.

They're saying they simply sold out of promotional priced copies. Glad I picked it up at lunch.

Managed to get F1 but as mentioned above showing full price now. Wonder if it was misprice? Cheapest ever on isthereanydeal.com is £23.99 so for this to be £12 is pretty impressive. Maybe it was mistake as Dirt is still on sale as deal of the day and both are codemasters games?
Annoying as I had a couple of friends who were going to buy it later as countdown timer said there was loads of time left!

It has been on CD Keys for £17.99 for well over a month now.
This was a cracking deal though, I saw it earlier and had it in my mind all day at work, get home and it's gone back up again

I guess there is no VR support for F1 2016 unlike Dirt rally?
VR racing has ruined me. Can't see myself getting excited if I can't jump in the cockpit

Does anyone know if F1 2016 can be played over triple monitors on the PC?

I think it's all a question of expectations. If you're looking for something where you never have to brake and can power slide around every corner, I can safely say don't bother. However, if you're after a decent rally sim then dive right in. Not only does it nail the physics of rallying, but it's the first game that properly simulates the mindset/approach of a rally driver. You can't drive in full attack mode 100% of the time as you will pay the price. You have to race within yourself a little, then pick your moments to go flat out. Oh, and if it says "don't cut" then DON'T CUT!

I found you need to spend time to get the force feedback settings to your liking, by default I found it way to intense and I couldn't enjoy it.

^^ I suspect the comment above answers my question, but I'll ask anyway. Is Dirt Rally fun to play, or is it more a case of rewarding when you do a perfect run, amongst a mass of tiny mistakes leading to crashes, broken cars and lots of swearing?
More FFS than Force Feedback?

It's an actual nightmare and the most intense driving experience I have ever had with any game, ever. But, it really is a fun experience, and you really do have to be on the ball for those successful runs. I'd definitely recommend it at £20, so I can quite easily do so at £12 .
TLDR: DiRT Rally is like having a beautiful partner that you keep going back to, regardless of how much of a **** they are.

Bargain. I got F1 2016. Bit fiddly to get your key. But £12 quid. Yes.

Got Dirt Rally. It's incredibly unforgiving and demoralising but so worth it at the same time

Not find the trees just to be placed excatly where they know you're gunna hit em, like after a miss timed jump.

Recommend both these titles..Might even say best driving games on PC bar forza.
Dirt rally you'll get use to seeing scenery quiet often.
I particularly like the tiny rocks in Germany that don't move but like to destroy wheels.
