The game is a SteamPlay title and will work on PC and Mac (you can see this on the Steam page)

I am enjoying this, but what's annoyed me is the amenities issue. I have every form of entertainment I can, trade luxury goods, and it still goes negative and rebels form. It's really annoying.

It is access to a steam account with the game on. Against TOS and will more than likely be deleted. Also, you would only be able to play offline and login to this steam account rather than your own.
