i always see these on here. What is so good about these and where are they generally used? Would they be useful for a 4 and 5 year old or too young? I see the words 'permanant marker' and go the other way but I do like a bargain so can someone please advise, thanks!

Recipe for disaster if you ask me. They really do take quite a lot of effort to get out of most materials!

This is HUKD's and this is a good deal. If you lived in Crawley, you would be in your car/on your bike / run down to Tesco and take advantage of this deal! I think you may be bitter that you do not live closer!

It's a great price if it's in your store but over time, like an increasing amount of others on here, I'm beginning to question whether I should vote hot or cold for these sort of deals that are often incredibly isolated. Obviously most OP's post a deal as soon as they find one and near impossible to know whether the deal is local or national and therein lies the problem, which is why an increasing amount of Hukkers post comment that it's not in their store and vote cold. These "local" deals are showing up on "national" searches and distorting the quality of the search results.
I can't wait to my local corner shop marks down some bread buns from 75p to 1p. I'll post the deal on HUKD and watch it hit 4 figures, even though there's likely no buns left to buy or not economically viable to buy them and make a saving.
So, my loyalty is split. HOT for the OP but cold for everyone else.
On balance I'm going to vote cold but nevertheless...great find Sapark! Enjoy your markers

I don't believe anyone has any bitterness over a selection of sharpies!?
It's the fact that "local" deals are showing up in "national" search results. They spoil the search results when looking for deals that Hukkers are able to purchase. This effectively makes them unavailable to the vast majority of consumers, so no deal to them, which is why we're seeing an increasing number of members voting cold. I dislike voting cold, I think this is a hot deal for the OP but still voted cold. No bitterness involved, simply the case of all too common wild goose chases and over-inflated heat.
In saying that, yes, give this and similar deals 10,000' heat if you live around the corner from where items have been marked down but the reality is that coverage of area is extremely small in relation to the size of the UK. The heat should be proportional.
With a population of ~64.6 million in the UK, jdr116's statistics probably aren't that far off the mark. I'm going to double up and suggest there may be 10 customers than 5 who could take advantage of the deal and it wouldn't surprise me if the bulk of those consumers are simply random people out shopping than Hukkers.
What do you think the statistics are?
Again, it's a debate of Local vs National and a sense of perspective of whether something is hot or cold. Both options are valid but just because someone doesn't agree with your opinion, it doesn't make them bitter. As far as I can tell, jdr116 made an accurate observation.

I absolutely love this community and the seriousness of the debates that go on! I see humour does not translate well! I do not care for statistics, who has access to it or the local vs national debate  . It is quite simple.........a user posts what they feel is a good deal...............other users agree or disagree............ I may take the opportunity to travel 144miles to Crawley just to see if they have any left! If I am successful in obtaining said deal, I will bring them home and store them with the other 2 packs of Sharpies I have purchased :laughing::laughing::laughing::laughing::laughing::laughing:
