The fan is super quiet anyways but silent mode is sweet

As tcboy said, that's not fanless.
The largest capacity fanless passively cooled which Seasonic do is a 520W Platinum one.
Here's is Skinflint's (aka geizhals) search for passive fans. Note they are all Platinum (no Titanium unfortunately which would be nice as it guarantees the efficiency at 10% load) which makes sense as after all a mythical 100% efficient PSU would not generate any heat. http://skinflint.co.uk/?cat=gehps&sort=p&xf=1119_5%7E360_400%7E363_passiv+(l%FCfterlos)

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I think these Seasonic KM3 PSUs are the platform on which the EVGA GS PSUs are based.
If I'm right, then this will be bloody good. My EVGA GS 850w has performed nothing short of brilliantly since I bought it last year.

Check out the Seasonic Prime range for Titanium rated PSUs, including a 600w fanless one

Very good. Overkill for pretty much any modern build, but good all the same.

Could always disconnect the fan and hope for the best, at least it weill be fanless.

Don't get me wrong this is a hot deal, but Seasonic power supplies are so over rated nowadays

Is this better than something like a 650W EVGA G2 for the same price

Unless you need the extra 100w, I'd take the extra 3 years of warranty on the G2 (7 years vs 10 years). If you do need (or are likely to need) the extra 100w, then get this as it's a great PSU which still has a pretty long warranty.

I've ordered the evga on amazon not long ago, not sure if I should cancel and get this :/

That's SuperFlower. Seasonic and SuperFlower are both top notch (Delta are probably in the top three quality wise too but rarely do consumer products).
However, SuperFlower are up-and-coming so seem to try even harder.
If you look at RealHardTechs EVGA PSU database: http://www.realhardtechx.com/index_archivos/Page2293.htm
you'll find that, for instance, the 650W G2 scored higher than the 650W GS (Seasonic).

Don't think I'd need the extra 100W
When I build a pc it'll be something like a gtx 1070 and a i5 6600k/i7 6700k

Unless you're planning on going SLI, or some making some other change to your PC which would mean it needed a lot more power, then the 650w EVGA G2 with its 10 year warranty seems like a better fit for your needs.*
If you want to do some more research, the EVGA G2 PSUs are based on the Super Flower Leadex platform. Daft name, damn good PSU.
*I say this somewhat hypocritically as someone with a single, water-cooled 980Ti, abeit fairly heavily OC'd (~1550Mhz), an i5-4690k, though again it's got a pretty decent OC on it (4.7Ghz), and an EVGA GS 850w PSU.

150 mm (W) x 160 mm (L) x 86 mm (H) - looked it up to see if it would fit in my BitFenix Prodigy case. At 160mm long, its 10mm too long to fit comfortably for me so I'll have to give it a miss.

You don't need fanless thesedays. As someone above mentioned the fan doesn't turn on untill you're under high load (gpu ramping up in a gaming session) Mine sits beside me with a gtx970 and 5 bequiet fans (one on cpu) and it's inaudible when not gaming and almost silent when gaming.

is the need for high power just due to a super fast graphics card (or two)?

For consumer purposes, probably.
That said, I have no doubt that some people do have high power draw, non-commercial applications.

Just posting to thank the OP again for posting this
great PSU for my itx case. Only complaint is that the cables are too long, and Seasonic told me by email that I'd have to buy third-party, aftermarket cables or risk forfeiting the 7 year warranty if I cut/repinned my own cables. Their logic was that if anything went wrong with the PSU because of the cable, whoever made the cable would be liable for it (in this case cablemod or shakmods).
I just wanted a 15cm 6+2pin PCIe cable (the included cables are 60cm).
Anyway for now I've just folded the cable and tucked it away in a corner of the case, but I might eventually fold if I can find a good deal on an aftermarket cable. I don't feel like paying 20GBP for a single cable when I only paid 79.99GBP for the PSU
