Saw this in sainsburys wednesday and bought one so went in again yesterday and asked if any more, and there were 4 more out the back so grabbed another.
Cant see why its not everywhere.
Also had the smaller 1tb seagate backup plus slim for £30 and a few other technical bits and bobs.
Been after one for months for xbox one and they all been holding there price, works a treat.
Was reduced to clear?as sainsburys are getting rid of a lot of there electrical and gm due to argos moving in store so keep eye on your local stores.

However, ooMIKEY00, yes they do work. My son uses one for his XBOX ONE and it works fine for downloading and running games from.

Based on what was said here, I am actually wondering if this deal was a misprice.
I do remember this item going on offer on and off in the past for £62.50, but never £42.50.
Could be that someone just keyed a 4 instead of a 6 by mistake and the OP got very lucky.

Good luck with this one. Checked with Sainsburys and it looks like its a promotion which is store specific - they can't say which stores are participating! My local one had the reduced ticket for the 1tb at £30 but no stock. The 2tb was at full price. Not sure what would happen if you bought one at full price then took it back to a participating store!!?? :smiley:

Hmm, went to store saw it on sale for £80, lovely young lady spent 10 mins with me trying to ascertain why it was that price, stood me by terminal and brought up all the prices it had been sold for over the previous year. She concluded that it has never been sold at the above price, otherwise it would have been national!

I'm new to xbox one and a bit confused as to the hdd. I got the elite 1tb hybrid drive. I've only installed a handful of games and it's already half full !!! Even before installing the games the Os was using about 10 percent of 1tb?? What happens when I run out ? Can I just play games off disc? Do you have to install every xbox one game before use? Crazy..

Pretty much install every game. I only had 500gig and got fed up with unistalling so i could install other games. So when you go to install and have no room left your going to have to start removing stuff.

Games downloaded from MS fully load onto your hard drive. Discs don't fully transfer all of their data but they do load some files that the game needs to access in quick time. So discs don't really take up much of your hard drive space.
