Yes, but some people do not care. It all depends on use of the device and price.
Eg I have a USB 2.0 stick where I loaded Windows 10 setup.
It was so slow. Yes, very slow. It was a once only copy and it left it to take its time whilst I did something else. But it is an occasional use in case I need to repair Windows. It could be used twice a year at most. But the USB is invaluable at those times. For everyday use, I would be frustrated. For the use and price, it is fine.

Even then.. on usb 2.0 you'll still get 20MBs on the ultra where these will around 1-4MBs. Im just saying from experience. If you just want to copy a file and go it wont be a good experience.

Well, these drives are 'suitable for storing high resolution photos or HD video' so it sounds like they'd be no good for Word documents.

I have never seen a 16GB stick that you can put 16GB of information on.
More like 14.7GB.

Some people work in hell and do not have a computer with USB 3.0.
Moores' law died a long time ago, for some there is little point in upgrading if they just use Office, browsing and email.

None of my Desktops or the Laptop have got any USB3 sockets so transfer speed is same whichever I use.
Also just checked the Android TV boxes & Blu-ray player - none of which use usb3 either & ive never had a problem with missing frames etc when playing movies via a dongle.
So I'll just buy whichever type remains best value - at least until one of the pcs needs replacing

If your in no rush there is no point on spending more on a USB 3.0 version.

Ever tried transferring 20GB worth of video files on to USB 2.0, it's slow, very slow.
USB 2.0 takes about 1min per GB (20GB 20+mins)
USB 3.0 takes about 20secs per GB (20GB 6-7mins)

I wouldn't buy these if you intend to carry them around, I had a couple of 8GB ones that had bootable tools on them that I carried around with me but the plastic casing along the top fell to pieces on both of them. I've used a variety of USB drives in a similar way and not had this happen before.

People have their own preferences, but imo for price/quality, Sandisk is king.
Good bang per buck on these. I have five of the 64Gb USB3 versions of then from a deal some time ago. They were extraordinarily and mind-bogglingly slow with file transfers.....but £/Gb certainly wasn't to be sniffed at!

These work perfectly, but the bit that you put on your keyring lasted less than a week. Just reached into my pocket a found it wasn't on my keyring anymore, upon closer inspection, I saw that the keyring bit was fractured...
