Any cheap 4k is better than this old rubbish. Hope you are buying TV to use as TV and not for brand name alone.

nice TV if you need a replacement and never buying 4k feeds. some channels still need HD and I'm not paying a higher subscription for those that have it.

I've just ordered a 50" 4k Panasonic TX-50DX700B for the same price delivered from the official Panasonic Outlet on ebay. Refurb i know but comes with a 12 month Panasonic gtee and is a great tv for the money. Still a few left. CLICK HERE

You can buy all Samsung branded rubbish, even their exploding phones but don't tell me this nonsense. This is £449 down the drain. Maybe it may have antique value some day but this is just £449 garbage now .

You are plain bonkers; in what way is a 4k TV better than an HD one if one has no 4k feeds,....?

In my experience non HD looks terrible at 1080p...so I'm assuming the majority of TV channels would look even worse in 4k.
My concern would be the curved screen. Does anyone have experience of them and are they better / worse / weird?

Some TV's upscale better than others, the 4K Hisense TV's we have do a decent job, even on SD content but some of the more obscure channels (especially on freeview) have a lower bit rate and even SD TV's have their work cut out making it look decent. Garbage in, garbage out as they say.

That is not true. It is just fear of the unknown as I guess you have not used a 4k TV. Simple truth is 4k can handle everything brilliantly, while full HD cannot. I watch old movies all the time on my 4k without any problem. Full HD looks much better on 4k compared to my Full HD Plasma TV which I got rid off. Don't waste money buying this rubbish. Technology changes with time and unless reduced to clear at throw away price, no point buying Full HD at this price.

A good plasma beats all Tvs bar OLED; you must have had a poor plasma. My panny 42" plasma was excellent but after 7 years it died and was'nt worth repairing
Very expensive 4k sets will probably produce a good full HD picture but if you paying £800 -£900+ buy an OLED instead unless you are a 4k gamer in which yes go 4k.

Nothing wrong with this panel, actually its one of the better price v quality from the 2015 Samsung 6 range. Like already mentioned I have choosen to go with a 1080 panel due to lack of 4k content and the poor upscaling on the current 4k panels, you need to be spending £1k plus to get anywhere near proper HDR and even then I would be looking at OLED which are clearly the way to go, best advice save your money get this, sit back enjoy and over the next 18mths use the money saved to buy an OLED when its sub £1k...........
