I just got back from work and received this letter from three.
It has a list of other SIMO 12 month options but had this Samsung S7 deal. I think it's pretty good. Especially for 12 months.

4GB DATA
On feel at home plan (or advanced I think it's called)
They've got an iPhone 7 (32gb) with same call /data allowance for £36 per month.
Apparently these are "exclusive to me" but, seriously, I spend around a tenner a month. I very much doubt I've contributed greatly to be honoured a good deal!

Three will always rinse existing customers. You can get better deals WITH THREE via buymobiles/CPWH, which they don't (say they can't) even match. Ludicrous!!
So this is what I always do so I get to keep my number and get the best deals......
In your last month, switch your contract to PAYG. This lets you transition your number to any contract.
Then, the very next day, you're free to move (keep) your existing THREE mobile phone number with your new contract. This includes THREE deals for new customers via re-sellers. You can't transition an existing three number to another second THREE contract even if they overlap by a day - they can only to it between two THREE contractsif one if a PAYG.
Don't be conned.

Yes, I don't want to ruin the party but I've never seen Three doing 12m contracts other than SIM only - unless it's a Three customer exclusive and I am a Three customer! I totally admit I could be wrong though.

I'd say the iPhone 7 offer they have is more worth shouting about than the S7.

When the cancellations/upgrades team call you on the weekend (and they WILL call) tell them the only reason you are leaving is because of the letter and the only way you will stay is if they honour it.
Simple and you don't lose out either way.

I'm under the impression they issued the letter with the 'typo' on purpose to get me/others to move to another, more expensive, contract. They even had a designated line for letter recipients!
Their other SIMO deals on the letter are good (and legit) though - no denying that.
Three's network isn't even that great in our home but the deal was to good to ignore.

Just called up. IT was a typo indeed.
Demanded my PAC code and got send through to another department only to find out the would give a £5 off the total 24 month bill ...
Told them to bolt and should now receive by PAC code shortly. I'll expire the deal now.
Sorry folks :disappointed:

At least you checked the facts, many would be stubborn and stand by that letter, getting upset at doubters. A huge shame it's not a real deal.

Three does sometime do good deals, my friend works there and tells me there are sometimes "glitch" deals, but they tend to honour those until a certain date.
But yes, it was for 24 months, but for like.. £14 per month for a really good phone that was worth about £400?
Bought 2 and sold the phones and gave my parents the sims - pretty much a 2 year free contract ^^

Or if curiosity, would you have picked the S7 or iPhone deal?

I would like to think so but it doesn't help me as its not addressed to me. In addition the letter isn't a binding contract (not an expert) so they can just say no...i suspect. I've been on a 30 day rolling for a while now awaiting a decent deal and thought this was it but alas my wait goes on.

Ive just got off the phone with them and they are adamant this deal does not exist. They assume it is a typo and should read 24 months as they don't have any handset plans on 12 month contracts.

Terrible network who employ clowns as customer service agents.Have many a friend who have been lied to by these sharks and as for the network itself its terrible especially in rural areas.

Although not so good in buildings I've found Three to be outstanding in rural areas.
For me the only better network's would be EE and BT as Vodafone and O2 only have GPRS and Edge in a lot of rural places.
I have driven from Poole to Harlow and also Basildon to Norwich with my Internet radio (in high quality) only dropping out for less than 2mins once on each journey (cannot see Vodafone or O2 doing that (I have Vodafone for a works phone and wife and friends have O2).

Both of those deals are unbelievable. IPhone 7 32gb that costs about £430 over the year. That phone sells for 500 quid at least. So you'd be getting 12 months worth of 4gb data for free and 70 quid in your pocket.
Seems too good to be true these. Either something happens after the 12 months of there's an upfront cost missing surely?
