This fridge is the lowest scoring Samsung fridge on the Which magazine website, only gets a score of 48% out of 100%. Better off with the similarly priced RSA1RTMG which scores 64%.

We have one, great product and this is a great price.
Getting it into the house was a pain. No chance of it going through our front door, delivery guys had to go through the garage.
Worth the effort though as this thing is ten times bigger than our old one!

I have this fridge freezer. Bought from curry's this time last year, came with Samsung guarantee, 5 years I think.
Delivery guys were great, had to use special lifting straps to lift and move it into the house. Also has wheels on the bottom for easy maneuverability when inside.
Tonnes of storage space. Although it does say the fridge should be kept half full (or half empty) to preserve its longevity.
Been a great purchase so far

The Samsung RS, RSH and old SRS series fridge freezers are absolutely riddled with problems which Samsung addressed but never really cured. Maybe the RSA series have different internals, but I wouldn't have one again.
Have just replaced my RSH with a Haier, which was on offer on HUKD a few days ago. £100 cheaper, same warranty and I can't fault it so far.

I came here to post the same thing. I wouldn't buy a Samsung fridge freezer again - ours broke down after 5 years and Samsung didn't want to know even though SADFART rules applied. The ones sold in John Lewis & Costco now come with a 10 year warantee due to the known issues. We replaced ours with a Maytag American style fridge freezer from Costco with a 10 year warantee (repair bill for the Samsung was costed at £400).

Just read the reviews section on the Currys website for this item. There are still a few reviewers reporting freezing over of the fridge compartment. This was one of the RSH issues, so maybe they haven't changed much after all.

I had 4 new panels during the guarantee period - on every one the fan would get iced up and the fridge would be warm at the top and icy cold at the bottom.
At almost £200 for a replacement panel and call out fee I put up with defrosting it manually every month for 12 months after the guarantee ran out and then scrapped it.
Had I thought there was a chance they'd resolved the problem I'd have paid for a new panel. Five dodgy ones over the 5 years suggested they hadn't!

had nothing but trouble with my RSH fridge freezer.....fan in the freezer would get iced over and make an awful noise and stop working to the point we had to defrost it many times to get it working again. had it replaced 3 times and still same issue. the fridge side packed in twice and we had to keep the temperature on 1 for it to keep food cold, before this it would freeze the milk and pop (worst £900 i ever spent). had a 5 year guarantee on it and the minute that was up we bought a daewoo plumed fridge freezer and had it now a few months and is been spot on, ice and water on tap. the door bins are massive to the point you can put a big family size butter in length ways. the shelves are really deep as well. samsung was the worst fridge freezer ever!

Having to run our fridge freezer on a timer to stop the fridge from getting too cold (-8c if left on 24/7). Can't really recommend a Samsung unit as they have done nothing to fix these issues which were happening 12 years ago so cold for me. Take the risk but live with the consequences.
Obviously not because I have already replaced it and it fixed nothing. I've also replaced the defrost unit too.

7 Jan 171#32
with Curry's it depends if you get one of their employees who do about 15 deliveries a day or a franchise driver who do about 40 as the franchisee gets paid per job.
they both turn up in a Curry's lorry and have the uniform.
I know someone who has a franchise with them and they take as many deliveries as they can do in a day.
GunnerGraham to shadey12

Yes,you get zero stisfaction from a franchizee,as opposed the regular Curries delivery.

OK, so maybe we've been lucky. We got ours from Currys and the delivery guys struggled to get it into the house but managed it in the end.

Just wanted to add to all the comments, we had Samsung RSA FridgeFreezer and like all comments above.....its a nightmare!! Buyers beware, Currys have been great, for the last 7 years we 5 call outs, freezer panell replaced, everything checked yet still problems. The problems all started after year 2. An experienced engineer of 45 yrs skill stated he's encountered alot of issues with Samsung Fridges and it goes with all their models. We had ours written off by Currys and got our money back.

I previously commented on the earlier Samsung fridge freezer post.
I would reiterate what others have said. Samsung fridge freezers are cheap at the moment but for a good reason, they have a terrible reputation and the tempting deals are a false economy. I have yet to have a stretch of more than 6 months without a major repair and the sale of repair kits and others comments confirm this is common place. The after care is shockingly bad, even when they were aware of a design fault they refuse to repair even when it went wrong yet again with the same repeated fault just days outside of warranty.
Buy any other brand of fridge freezer but not Samsung.
If you buy this don't say you weren't warned!

I have the infamous Watchdog Samsung RS21 which had the problem with the fridge back panel freezing up the fan. The fitter thankfully left me the old bits two backpanels and the various internal gubbins. I spotted the problem was the cloth like seal on the backpanel was getting saturated with water (bad choice for a seal). So I modified the original back panel with a new seal - draught excluding plastic foam from poundland + a new thermistor and has been good for four years or more now...the new panel lasted about a year before it started to freeze up.
.I wouldn't buy a samsung fridge freezer again though.
Hotukdeals seem to be turning into more of a promotions site to get themselves commission than something that's useful. I feel this site really gone down hill in the last year, you don't even arrive at the deals page when you access their site, it takes you directly to their promotions page so they can earn commission..
