I wanted to take advantage of the 5 year warranty that Samsung are offering at the moment. Ive done lots of research, nearly got the Currys add wash at £429 but didn't as it didn't have a spin only cycle. This one has.
Its a 9kg model, excellent reviews and voucher 30appliance takes the price down to £369.
AO dont advertise the 5 year warranty but it is on Samsungs website for this model and I went on live chat to confirm it too, so I have it in writing in case there are any problems. Free delivery too and being delivered next week.

I have a Samsung Washer Dryer with 5 yr registered warranty. The heater element has packed up and Samsung are acting like some dodgy market trader. 5 days on and I'm still at the warranty verification stage! They promise to call back within 24hrs and never do, I've had to send in the warranty email as they don't have a record of it. Then email forwarding wasn't good enough as I could have fraudulently edited so I had to take screenshots of the open email on my desktopl!!
They even have an account number at the time of registration but act like I just fancied having an account setup just for the sake of it - quite unbelievable.

Well I finally got my washer dryer repaired under warranty:
So 1 week to "verify my Warranty"
Further 4 days to arrange engineer who replaced the cold water feed valve (which sprays water into the heater)
Didn't check if there was any further issues and besides the valve the actual heater had failed too.
Engineer came another 4 days later and replaced the heater module.
Went to turn it on and found it unplugged (did he test it??)
Works fine though

That just mentions Samsung's 5 year warranty, not cashback.

Samsung are offering up to £300 cashback on kitchen appliances at the moment, up until 4th April 2017. http://www.samsung.com/uk/offer/
Has to be a participating retailer.
Sorry if this has already been posted on this thread, I just skimmed the comments and didn't see a reference to it.

You're welcome. It would have been great if they'd given an option for a 15min or 30min quick wash with a choice of spin speed but they only allow a fixed 800 spin on those which leaves items too wet so we do the 15 min quick wash and then do a 1400 spin consecutively. Clothes and towels etc then dry in no time. We are very happy with the machine so far. Tip: when finished, to prevent any mold (which is a common problem on many washing machine door seals when liquid gels are used) we mop dry the grey door seal cavity with a piece of kitchen towel and leave the door ajar or flip the addwash door open to let the drum dry out.

On the strength of what you've said I've just changed my order to the add wash 9kg. £30 extra but nicer looking machine too. Thanks

Absolutely right; I registered the extra warranty, have the reference No and email as well as the account creation date which all ties in together. I even have the document that came with the £50 cashback that was included at the time (you had to register to get that too).
Day 6 and I'm no further forward, I still haven't got past the warranty verification stage let alone when an engineer might be available.
There's no complaints procedure and according to Trading Standards they refused to sign up to any independent dispute service. I'm certainly taking Samsung off my "goto" brand

Just to balance that, the Samsung ecobubble addwash models are designed to be quiet and therefore particularly suited to open plan living space. I can confirm that it is very quiet at 1400 spin. It has a digital inverter motor using magnets rather than brushes to drive the drum which makes it very quiet - there is less friction which equates to less noise and vibration and a 10 year motor warranty. Currys state a 5 year warranty is included but I registered with Samsung anyway and received the 5 year warranty papers.

thats not really a problem how the washing machine looks certainly wouldn't bother me all i know is i bought one of these LG's machines last year and its been the best purchase yet, ultra quiet can barely hear it when it's spinning at 1400rpm much better than the samsung ecobubble it replaced which would make a load of noise during the spin cycle.

have read a lot about samsung not keeping to their word on 5 year warranty and alot of people seem to get caught out think the extra warranty is automatically included but it's not you have to register within 60 days i think. When I registered my LG 5 year free warranty they send you an official letter to confirm the extension and the letter acts as the proof of 5 years cover.

Common misconception! I received the silver version of WW90K5410UW (WW90K5410UX/EU) from Currys at £449 less a £35 code a couple of weeks ago. The feature you describe is available albeit hidden:
Set dial to Rinse & Spin. Option 1 illuminates in the column above the silver Rinse button. Press the Rinse button exactly 5 times until the light goes off in that column. This deactivates rinse. Now set your Spin speed anything up to 1400, again by pressing the spin button until the apt spin speed illuminates. Now press the Play button and off it spins
Oh and for the 15 or 30 min quick wash you select Cotton and then touch the display where it says Quick Wash 15/30 and it toggles between the two. Then press the play button.

I have the LG FH4U2VFN3 price matched at John Lewis for a few more days at £329 could anyone advise whether this Samsung is a better machine. If Quidco tracks they would end up roughly the same price.

Ive been looking since the Sonic Direct and John Lewis deal at both LG machines and Samsungs. I got JL to price match me but when they looked it had gone up to £379 at Sonic so I couldn't do that. I couldn't tell you if one is better than the other although I do think the LG is a nicer looking machine. I have been trying to get the LG back down to that price again without luck. I could have got it for £370 last week. Just double check that it has a spin only programme, some reviews said they didn't. Im very pleased with the machine I am getting but it did start off with me planning on getting the LG. My TCB has tracked too, nearly £11 :-) I would just go through the reviews and see what you like the most!

I have four kids and as you can imagine I have gone through quite a lot of washing machines so I can tell you that cheap machines from the likes of Indesit are total garbage and although it costs a bit more buying a washing machine from one of the more expensive brands really is more cost effective and if possible go for one with a long warranty but make sure its a parts and labour warranty as some only give one year parts and labour but two or three years parts only and then charge you a small fortune in call out charges and labour. At the moment I have a Gorenje which came with ten years parts and labour guarantee and after a couple of years it is still running no problems but I have the piece of mind of knowing I still have 8yrs parts and labour cover for free

We were looking for a new Washer/Dryer before Christmas. We were torn between the Samsung and LG and eventually went LG - they were offering 5yr warranty on the model we wanted, so they were pretty even.
I'm a massive Samsung fan, but when I checked the specifications and how they felt in the flesh I went the LG route.
Doubt very much anyone would regret buying a Samsung device however.

I too am planning to order the LG price match by JL for £344. Nothing much else has come up that cheap comparable to it. Marks electrical did have the LG for £360 the last week or so but think it has gone up now. Will look into this Samsung before ordering tho.

No, dont be a cheapskate, and buy this one.
The difference between a cheap machine and this is like between a clapped out Corsa and a New BMW; not only that, this will probably save you the difference in price over its lifespan in electricity savings.
I have one of the first Samsung washers on sale in the UK, and it still looks and washes like new, and it is so quiet; my fan oven is louder.
