Come on team, it's Rolson, no doubt another triumph of form over function. Don't waste your money.

Bought the JCB branded one years ago, very basic quality, only useful bit I have left is the flexible extension. If you want screwdrivers buy the halfords set, if you want small sockets get the bahco set, if you want a very cheap set to do some light diy occasionally then this set might be OK but I wouldn't waste my money again.

Yup just another pile of cheap rubbish some people just love throwing their cash away.

Have this and been using them for occasional work at on bike/house/furniture etc. No problem at all. Recommend and definitely worth the cash. Those people saying these are crap are doing heavy duty projects everyday all day long I guess?

I'm just a DIYer too but have genuinely found that all all the Rolson stuff I've ever had has been of absolutely terrible quality. If you have this set and have found it to be fine then that's great feedback for people thinking of buying. For me, I'll never buy anything Rolson.

Not so...I had to drill a 10mm hole, pre drilled to 8mm with an old (had fer years) Non Rolson bit, in an internal wall of a council flat, and the BRAND NEW (bought for the job) 10mm Rolson masonry drill bit burnt out in seconds...it's ALL in the brand name...it's CRAP.

Perfectly fine for basic diy around the house

Normally I'd be the first person to trot out the "It's Rolson, therefore it must be crap", but... I've had one of these for over 10 years (branded JCB) and used it for most DIY jobs in that time. Apart from the case eventually falling to bits and managing to break the blade of the largest flat blade screwdriver using to try and lever something, it's still in pretty much full working order.
It never occurred to me it might be Rolson because everything else I've ever used of theirs has been absolutely terrible.

Well the comments posted before you has pointed out this set has been all right but other Rolson has been terrible. Thus your experience with their drill bits, which is not in this set, is not that relevant? I'm a basic DIYer and not tools expert but I've been using this set for years finding them ok. I even bought a small set of Rolson precise screwdriver set also served occasional jobs without any problem at all.

rolson just rebrand tools from many many manufacturers so not all of it is rubbish

whereas I don't doubt this set is crap and your Rolson bit was crap too, you're doing it wrong if you're drilling an 8mm hole then following up with a 10mm bit. You don't want to load up any drill bit just on its outer edge of you'll snap the edges off - you want to get at least half to a third of the cutting surface in contact with material or you put too great a stress concentration on it. If you want/need to predrill a 10mm hole don't use anything larger than a 6mm bit to do so.
You can't blame the tools for being crap if you're using them wrong..
