seen this tonight in home bargains, but before I post a deal I always search
for it on previous deals, and it was posted 18 months ago by s4mri and stopped selling them within 5 months,]
so since they reselling them now for 50p more I decided to highlight the item,
it says on box robot kits solar science 6 in 1 educational solar kit build your own solar kit age 10+
I just thought be shame for kids to miss out on it
feel free to check out original deal by s4mri can even give them some heat
thanks

I bought one of these sets today, built the revolving plane and it works when placed under one of our LED spotlight bulbs.

It feels like some kind of tough recycled cardboard
Bought that kit some time ago. Utter rubbish, half of it won't work at all while the other half will break after a day...

They work fine in summer, in bright sunlight. Otherwise forget it.

Got this for my lad it doesn't really work when built in any of its various modes , that was with the Sun bearing down on it but as others have mentioned it gets young kids involved with concept of solar power so for a few quid its probably just about worth it

Don't bother, unless you have a 200w Bulb permanently attached to this thing, the sorry excuse of a solar panel will do nothing.

Bought 2 of these before Christmas and neither of the solar panels work. Tested by connecting to a battery which works no problem so will have to return. Just a word of warning for those buying to keep the receipt!

at least its something you can build (hopefully) with kids, and doesn't involve killing monsters on monitor

Ha this is good fun for the price. I received it for Christmas - small plastic parts, dont expect anything too impressive but on the whole it works and is great intro to solar. I've built the turbine which is spot on, the car is fun too but doesn't have enough grip (torque?) to move when in contact with the ground, the wheels only spin for me when you hold it up in the perfect position to get the sun. Can't moan for the cost
