It was 24.99 when pre-ordering
now 27.99 still a great deal.
I recommend CD-keys currently dead island 2 is cheap and it's not even out yet!

We're playing this on ps4 ATM, not played any since the 1st one and although I'm finding the items a little hard to find as you can easy walk by them and overall it's a little too dark to see at times it's no doubt a top game and really enjoying it.
It's made us jump loads and my other half has even let out a couple of screams lol

Tempted to try this out for VR. Am I going to need to keep an eye on pampers deals?

You might want to hold off for a year if you want to play this on the rift or vive. Sony paid for the mode to be exclusive to PSVR for a year :disappointed:.

Reviews are mixed from what I've seen...
...so real players, what's it like? RE4 is still one of my favourite games of all time if that's any sort of yardstick :man:

It feels more like the first game but in first person and with a more involved story. I am loving it and Resi 4 was one of my favourite games ever.

It's much more like the early RE games than RE4, especially RE1/the remake. You are mostly confined to one environment which you will explore and slowly gain access to new areas through solving puzzles, progressing the story, etc. RE4 had a more traditional level-based design where you progressed through multiple environments which you rarely returned to, whereas this is more about exploring one big environment and gradually unlocking it's interlinking paths as you work your way through the game.
The actual gameplay is also much more similar to the early titles as well, with low ammo supplies, a bigger focus on inventory management, and often the need to flee enemy encounters rather staying and fighting (although both styles are possible, often saving ammo is a better idea).
It's a nice blend of some of the more modern first-person horror games (Alien: Isolation, Amnesia, Outlast) while also being true to the RE roots and not just being a "hide in a closet" simulator like some of those titles. You can always fight back, but enemies are powerful and ammo is fairly scarce. The story is pretty interesting and draws a lot of inspiration from 70s/80s horror films like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and The Evil Dead. Most of all though, it's pretty refreshing for a RE storyline.
I haven't completed it yet so I wouldn't like to say exactly how much I like it just yet, but it's a fun game.
