Such a great game. I honestly have not had as much fun with any one game since Horace goes Skiing.
Honestly, if you haven't played it yet, I suggest you do so with the free weekend. Quite easily my game of 2016, and so far for 2017. Great heads up mate. Heated

So we can download and complete the game for free over the weekend? Sounds HOT

When can we start downloading?

You can't really 'complete' it mate. It's primarily a multiplayer game with a few single player options such as situations, but there is no single player mode as such, well at least in the way of a campaign.

Heat, I would advise new players to stick with it. At this point you will be up against a lot of pros which will get frustrating for you but it is worth sticking with it and learning the game.

I love this game. Like Turkey said, stick with it as it has a huge learning curve. I have tons of new games but just can't get off this.

Bought this recently and I suck (playing solo doesn't help) but I love the unforgivingness of the game and the patience that is required win. Well worth the £18 paid at Tesco.

Though there'll also be a lot of newbies this weekend so it might be a little less daunting :).

Good heads up this for people who don't own the game. This ties in with the Invitational, where they'll be showing off the start to Season 2 DLC

Awesome game.
Play terrorist hunt online to learn the maps and get practice in, if multiplayer is proving tough.
Beware the idiots who kill their own team mates after waiting 2 - 5 mins for matchmaking though!
Also, try adjusting your sensitivity settings for normal and aiming, and test it in situations or terrorist hunt, to fine tune!

That answers my question. I was wondering why they're doing a free trial for an old game. Makes sense now.

I've got over 100hrs clocked on the game and I'm still pretty terrible  haven't played in a while so I'll get back on it this weekend so I stand a chance against the newbies. Ridiculous fun. But be prepared for your heart to be pumping out of your chest when you're left on a 1v1 X)
Is this live yet, it still doesn't show as free for me

Not sure if it's already been said (replying from phone), but :
There are usually 4 new maps over the 12 months, one every quarter. Each quarter also sees the release of two new operators.
You can only have one of each type of operator in each game.
The environment is largely destructible, and breaching pads are sledge hammers make the games a lot more interesting.
New operators come with new unique abilities, so it mixes up all the strategies people have been used to, and changes / freshens the game dynamics and playability.
Fantastic game ( 140 hours on it! )
Enjoy!
