I'm doing it, so don't try and stop me. It's a post for No Man's Sky.
I'd attempt to try to explain the game to you, but to be honest 90% of it would be a lie.

I'll pick it up when it's a tenner. Gutted it failed to deliver anything near what was promised, but still an experience I'd like to try out.

I feel you, I do currently own the game, having played it a lot, comparing it to early access games on steam I feel it's worth about £8, as the content is updated it could be worth more but thats not how early access games work, and it was barely finished as a game when it did release, it was just a sandbox mode and the majority of content of what the designer wants of the game still doesnt exist.

If the Sony Hype Train hadn't picked this up, it would have delivered 6 months late with 90% of the promised content and sold for £20.
It's easy to be mad at Hello Games but they weren't ready for that much attention and consequently released a bug-ridden feature-barren game in an attempt to placate the hungry horde and stop the death threats over delays
I'd wait for this to hit the £10 mark now - It's enjoyable for about 20-30 hours but is a needlees grind towards the most unsatifying game ending since Ghostbusters (1984) after that.

I'm thinking Desert Bus had a more unsatisfying ending. But that game was just a massive troll anyway
A game made by Penn and Teller, you play as a bus driver. Driving from Tuscon Arizona to Las Vegas, 360 miles, limited to 45Mph, playing real time takes 8 hours. You can't stop, you can't pause, you have to keep going. When you reach Las Vegas you're awarded with the news that you have to drive all the way back.

Worth about eight quid? Damn, I paid £9 for mine for the PC...feel conned now. :P
In all honesty, the only good thing about this game is trolling the fanboi's on reddit.
For those who have not played it you should have 'managed expectations' about this one as it is great for the first few hours then just so repetitive.

i played the original release for about 15 hours before dying of boredom. with the foundation update i've probably played another 5 hours and will dip into it every now and again just to cruise around space and build stuff. ideal price for this game in my opinion is average indie price £10/£13.
I imagine it'll be at that price soon enough, can't see they'll be doing a game of the year addition

I'm going to put it out there. I paid retail for this via Steam £39.99
I've spent over 200 hours playing it, its worth the money if you enjoy it.
Yes I was ****** off when I initially started and half the content wasn't there. I haven't gone back to it since the update which allows you to build bases and have a cargo ship but I honestly enjoyed it. The No Mans Sky Mods website adds a nice amount to it as well.

Paid £17 from same place a week ago. I have about 7hrs in the game, it's not terrible. I mean it really depends what you like. It kinda reminds me of Elite Dangerous in how it promises a universe but gives you a pool of the same things -billions of times. If you enjoy resource management/survival for the sake of survival, you'll have fun. The new patch adds base building and some other stuff so it seems like they are expanding the game a lot, kinda feels like it's Early Access.

I don't agree that you can shift the entire blame onto Sony. Hello Games chose the project and the set of features they wanted to make. They had 4 years to develop the game as it. Give them 10 times the staff and they still would have been 6 months late and short on features. They choice to make a project that was far too big for their small team and resources to deliver (10 developers), and hence fell short of what was promised.

Not 100% on Sony but the pressure to deliver meant they fell short and the massively inflated price tag meant that people very disappointed in what was delivered.
I maintain that if this were released now with the features they've added, at this price, the reviews would have been very different.

It was also posted for a quid more and hit 300 degrees.
I'm not really up to date with the drama of this game, but I downloaded it for PC on release day (can't remember the cost). It really isn't very good. It isn't the worst game ever, it just isn't a good game. For the money you're spending on this now, I honestly think there are better games that you could buy.

The still expensive GOG version can be played off line. Not sure about others. The online part is a waste of time, no multiplayer and no direct interaction with others.
lol, have you tried the new survival mode yet? It is actually not too bad in changing NMS from the snoozefest it was to something resembling a challenge....but like most NMS things after a day even survival mode is easy.

I really liked this got it for PC when it first come.out it's not for everyone though, the question you need to.ask yourself is when you play a game like Skyrim do you find yourself collecting potion ingredients for hours on end for no real reason and still enjoying it ? if so you will most likely like the laid back yet fairly unrewarding grind that is nms. A great game to just spend time doing nothing on.
