I went to Pizza Hut just before Christmas with my brother and 83 year old mother for the lunch time £6.99 'all you can eat' buffet. (some locations are £7.49 locally to us).
At the end of the meal the very helpful, credit to Pizza Hut, waiter came over with the bill, my mum looked at the waiter and said "that was one of the best meals I've ever had"
The waiter said "Really, thank you very much"
All good with Pizza Hut.

it's ridiculous how the Pizza Hut site works. I have a Pizza Hut delivery store just a few miles away, yet because there is a pizza Hut restaurant closer (which doesn't deliver) I can't use the store that delivers, meaning I can never take advantage of all their delivery only deals! so frustrating.
varunadas to robinson216
3 Jan 172#16
They do this as most Pizza Hut delivery stores are actually franchises and hence to avoid rivalry between stores, each store is given an exclusive area. This only applies for delivery orders so if you are collecting you are free to walk into any store.
I had this issue when the delivery store in my area ran out of dough and still the other delivery store refused to deliver. As a solution, they asked me to do a Collection and provided some freebies for the inconvenience.

As someone who has worked at both it's not. Dominos uses fresh dough and has very high standards, you get fresh pizza. At Pizza Hut you don't, they use old dough.
Pizza Hut is okayish if you go to a restaurant and have it there, they have much higher standards than franchised delivery shops. But delivery and quality wise Dominos is on par with Papa Johns then Pizza Hut comes after.

I don't think this is the case, you can choose your Pizza hut delivery on their website, I normally order pizzas to be delivered to the beach car park in Bournemouth from 2 different Huts (Delivery) that are not the closest to my home address, cash on delivery or by a card registered to your home address, yet you can still choose your delivery Hut and where you want your pizzas delivered.
Caveat emptor is the only thing you need - not loads of inspections that cost rate payers money and also inflate the price of the food.
If the takeaway or restaurant uses low quality food, or if it is off, or is it is dirty then that will just lead to fewer customers.
It is their own business interest to serve cheap appetising and safe food if they want to keep operating it. The hygiene scores etc are just an expensive window dressing.

I remember years ago in the 70's an Alsatian dog was found in the freezer of our local chinese restaurant (luckily we never ate there).

I can choose the pizza hut delivery on the website but only for collection. As soon as I put in my postcode it says they don't deliver to me and I can't even browse the menu. It is only 2.1 miles away from my house and it is also on the coast, making their customer base EXTREMELY limited if they only deliver in a 1-2mile radius. Almost feel sorry for them as the Pizza Hut restaurant that is stopping them from having a wider area is always empty too, and they don't deliver...

Who knew !! I don't have the franchised takeaway shops just takeaway from a restaurant but thanks for heads up
A young girl has died because of poor safety management.
Do you think health food inspectors just check hygiene?
Obviously you do.
"Making sure food is safe to eat
The inspectors will check if your business produces food that is safe to eat. To do this, they will look at:
• your premises
• the kinds of food you make or prepare
• how you work
• your food safety management system
You can find information about the legal requirements on food safety and hygiene on this website, as well as by downloading the 'Food hygiene: a guide for businesses' booklet via the link towards the end of this page. You can also contact the environmental health service at your local authority for advice.
Making sure descriptions are not misleading
The inspectors will also look at how you describe food, for example on a menu or label, to make sure the description is not misleading for customers.
More information on food safety labelling (including allergy) can be found on this website. Other information about food labelling can be found on http://www.gov.uk. "
So, if I eat this once a year I'll be obese and die of heart disease? Try not being an arrogant, patronising, condescending troll eh and just publish your own faultless daily diet for us all to marvel at and congratulate you on?

I'm in a similar position, but the delivery store will deliver. I'm pretty sure they aren't the same franchise, but perhaps the restaurant in my case doesn't enforce the policy. Its in a large high street, so I guess deliveries don't really eat in to their sales.

Not in anyway knocking this deal but what an absolute rip off these big name pizza chains are.
I just ordered the pizza of the day for £7.99 and went for a side salad and some dips to get free delivery. The pizza which would usually cost £15.99 was luke warm and the toppings spread incredibly thin. As I got a free week of Sky Sports with my order I don't feel ripped off but if i'd paid the regular price with no Now tv I would have felt like I got mugged. When you see supermarkets like Asda & Morrisons knocking out freshly prepared large pizza's for £3.50 which are way better quality you have to wonder how these big name pizza chains get away with it.

Horrible experience from the Wembley a delivery branch.
We ordered a meal in anticipation that our previous experiences haven't been so good. I was throughout disappointed with the service I received.
Having ordered the pizza / meal online earlier in the day - the delivery arrived 27 mins late and cold!
Having called the store twice at 18.15 and 18.25 the receptionist did not offer any comfort or check where the delivery was, and in fact lied the first time to say the pizza was out for delivery and the driver had just left on the second time I called. When I asked to speak to the manager, the receptionist stated I needed to call customer service. This is unacceptable -simply no one cared.
I know it's a small thing but you live 7mins away from the branch I.e down the road, you expect to be treated with some decency.
The pizza arrived cold and there was no apology for the late delivery from the driver. No greeting, simply a statement of cash or card. The driver did not have any change for £10 and demanded I get the exact amount for my order which was late and cold.
To add to the cold food the garlic bread order with chease, was not satisfactory. Two of the garlic breads had no cheese. How simple is it to check the order to ensure you give a quality product.
I am really unhappy as the team were unable to deliver on time and not offer a high quality service. Not sure I will come back after this, or order from pizza hut.
May just stick to Domino's!

Any pizza any size £5.99 collected. I'd rather 3 large pizzas for the price of this deal personally.
What does annoy me is if I choose to collect, the menu is different (i.e. the restaurant does different pizzas then the delivery stores) :/
i assumed they had done similar with the celeb badge
Can you get the voucher if you call in and collect it from a delivery store?
but its only available from delivery stores (take aways, not the restaurants)
Carb bunger.
Oh, I get it they're wrong in your opinion
Isn't this an online offer only?
I just ordered the pizza of the day for £7.99 and went for a side salad and some dips to get free delivery. The pizza which would usually cost £15.99 was luke warm and the toppings spread incredibly thin. As I got a free week of Sky Sports with my order I don't feel ripped off but if i'd paid the regular price with no Now tv I would have felt like I got mugged. When you see supermarkets like Asda & Morrisons knocking out freshly prepared large pizza's for £3.50 which are way better quality you have to wonder how these big name pizza chains get away with it.
I remember trying a free weekend of it and *another* site I sub to had it comfortably beat in terms of quality which is very poor given what Sky charge for Now TV Sports passes.
Just for your cainer1, Lol
EDIT: Clicked to order and it's not available from our nearby Pizza Hut. :disappointed:
Many of you have had good experiences and thats great but on this occasion, I didn't feel like it was the best experience.
