I received my order last week (ordered early December).
Although i needed to contact support first - they've explained that BT Shop cannot fulfill old orders with Paypal as payment option. You will need to add a debit/credit to your account and then BT will send your items (once they're available).

Did anyone actually receive any from BT store? Is my mistrust unfounded?

Nope. Didn't get my order from BT shop. No communication from them. Poor show on their part. Won't use again.

I hope amazon do the colour ones again for £86 again as if you sold one bulb out of the three you would get it about the same price as this and have 2 V3 of the bulb. can not beleave I missed that one

If you are refering to THIS DEAL then the bulbs were the V2 versions not V3 richer colours
Alexa importing all scenes as devices and so finds like 35 scenes, I have three on the ceiling like front room 1, front room 2 etc, but all in a group called front room which it struggles to understand, the Home and Away part is difficult to work out what it does, 2 rooms can't trigger upon my return (i.e. Lamp only on front room and hallway when I get in late), can't remove scenes from myHue, no way to press the button on the bridge using just the software (my bridge is really inconvenient), the android version doesn't pick up the bridge at all, eurgh that's just off the top of my head

God I wish these things were better than they are. I have 8 hue bulbs, the bulbs are great, but the software is so bad. Sooo bad. Every time I see these on sale I feel bad for the next person to purchase and be excited about them, to be horrendously let down by the software. Siri and iOS actually work ok, but Alexa, harmony, even the hue app, all utterly garbage. It's a shame Philips got there way before everyone else, they don't deserve to be the top name in the smart lighting game

What issues are you having? Can't say I have had any problems whatsoever with my gen 1 hub. The app is fine, very easy to set up rooms, routines etc... and Alexa works like a dream.

No problems with the app or Echo with mine, harmony doesn't like the updated firmware currently but it's hardly an issue if you have the other 2 or use the remote light controllers which you can now set several scenes onto and access via pressing the on button the required no of times. Have around 20 various bulbs, lamps and strips and all work perfectly.

Considering Phillips by all accounts can't fix the software they do on mutlimillion pound medical devices I have low hopes they will ever fix these. Best hope is some other party actually coming along and writing the killer hue control app.

are the lamps always screw fixed as opposed to bayonet. I know I can simply change the holder but was curious ?

you can get the bayonet fittings. but usually a lot more expensive. I just bought converters off eBay. work a treat. dunno why folk moan about these bulbs. they work great.

OK i just spoke with BT support and all users who ordered this in December and paid with Paypal need to contact them before this will be fulfilled. BT Shop charges only when the item is actually dispatched - so we've not been charged yet, and Paypal authorisation for those transactions has expired.

I ordered last time and never received my set logged in to bt shop and they had cancelled the order. Good luck to you if you order.

definitely can't argue with the price on this one - these bulbs would be fine for hallways etc but as it's E27 that's unlikely.
White & Ambience is the minimum I would recommend to people but this kit definitely has its place

Agreed. These bulbs colour isn't very natural looking and I can't tweak them to look good. The white and ambience ones you can tweak to match other bulbs in the house.

Don't know why this is cold. It's in stock now (hasn't been in stock for some time tbh). Great price considering the Hub is £50 usually so 2 free bulbs to get you started.
