Was looking for some Atmos speakers to go with the Denon/Q-Acoustics deal posted, these seemed to fit the bill as the cheapest option. Most places in the UK are selling for £129, I found £110 at homeavdirect. However, scouted around the European amazon sites and found it in Germany, unfortunately Amazon themselves will not ship to UK but the seller Radio Wolf fulfilled by Amazon will; quite odd. Anyway 99 Euros and 7.30 postage at current spot rate that is just under £91.

Made me laugh a few years ago when my sister came round my house and said "I never thought you would have Tandy speakers" after looking at my Tannoy ones.

Try learning a bit about audio before posting uneducated nonsense. Onkyo are one of the greatest audio brands of all time. If you don't know who they are, shame on you. Shame!!!!!

Had a similar hunt for Atmos Speakers, after picking up the Pioneer VSX930 AV Receiver in an earlier clearance at Richer Sounds. 'proper' atmos bookshelf speakers in this country are very expensive (£600+). In the end I picked up the following speakers on ebay, from the USA:
SP-BS22A-LR Andrew Jones Designed Dolby Atmos Bookshelf Speaker (Black)
They are still on now (if you search the above words), and cost about £190. Please note, though, that there is delivery and import tax as well, which pretty much adds up to £100 more. Still better than £600!
As these are ups (atmos) + fronts, I combined these with Canton Movie 75 5.1 speaker set to effectively create a 7.1.2 setup (I moved the canton right/left fronts to right/left 'middles'. Purist audiophiles might say that mixing speaker sets up in this way is dodgy, but sounds great to me.

Far from low quality. Onkyo have been in the business for quite some years and make great products.
Sony on the other hand... :smirk:

Hocus Pocus bouncy house magic speakers.
Don't expect good results from this type of set up.
I know in ceiling is not practical for most but really is the only way to go for full Atmos effect.
I run front highs and get great results especially with DTSx Neural

I can't give you evidence, but worth haggling with Richer Sounds if you want an amp too. I was offered these for £75 when bought with the £399 denon x2300. This was on Black Friday though. Feel a fool for not accepting.

Don't expect much from these. The deals good but I didn't notice a difference and switchback to 7.1
