Bought one of these from Asda Grimsby today for gaming on (Steam) PC. I have a feeling this could be a national deal, so it's worth checking your local store. Seems a good price for an official controller.
• Play in comfort - A compact, ergonomic shape lets you play comfortably for hours on your PC or Xbox 360
• Vibration feedback gives you a riveting gaming experience
• Precise thumb sticks, two pressure-point triggers and an 8-way directional pad help you stay in control
• Flexible 9ft/2.7m cable length: The thin, flexible cord was designed to provide the sensation of wireless with all the performance of a wire
• Connectivity: Powered USB port
• Platform: Windows 10, 8, 7, XP, 2000, 98

The older xbox one wireless controllers can't link to a PC. And don't call me Shirley

Great controller for PC!
Strongly recommend this site; http://lavendy.net/special/driver/x360c/index.html
Drivers for Windows 10 which let you separate the triggers onto different axes.
Vital for shooting / driving games. (So you can brake whilst on the throttle, just for example).
As standard I believe hitting the right trigger will negate the left, and vice versa.

Not directly, but it works for Xbox One streaming on a PC.

Excellent controller. Recently bought a PC for some light gaming. Plug it in, and it works. No need for messing about with drivers etc.

Just want to double check, this works via usb for the PC, I guess that means this can be used for PC gaming and should have no probs be used for PC games current and a couple of years old.
Was looking for a cheap controller for the PC for 'light' PC gaming!

What would be the point of that ??
Shirley you would just use your better Xbox One controller on the PC!!

They had asked if it would work on Xbox One, so presumably needed an extra controller, possibly for guests. The point of using it on a PC would allow them to use it as a workaround for a second controller (or even primary controller if needed) instead of an Xbox One controller.

I originally bought it to play Dark Souls, which it is great for. Sniper 3, Mark of the Ninja and Doom. it's an excellent controller at this price.

Not sure if this should be that price for Xbox 360 & PC...I thought it would be lower! Maybe I am just too cheap!

I don't care what you do, some may find it useful.
It does come up with a warning, correct. Only as the site is in different language in parts and contains .exe files to download.
Don't be scared.

Quick google says this is a limitation of dinput mode which PCs normally use, but some games support xinput and in that mode everything works well, even the rumble. More information for the pile.

Still my favourite controller, prefer using this with my PC than using the xbox s one. Cable actually a decent length too.
Works brilliantly with elite dangerous and GTA!

Interesting to know!
I was playing some of the old ToCA Race Driver games and struggled to have the triggers assigned and behaving as I wanted.
But the driver update on the link I sent took care of that. Rumble works perfectly. Not sure if that will apply to some other games too.

These are so versatile and tough. Ours has been used with an Xbox360, Raspberry Pi, Android TV, Laptops, PC and XboxOne streaming. Had it about 4 years now. Great price if national, tempted to pick up another... Very hot from me!

is this extremely heavy like the Xbox one controller?
nige182 to maltikism
14 Jan 17#33
No batteries in it so it is lighter. Personally I like a good weight to my controllers, PS4 controller feels about right, wired Xbox 360 is a little lighter, Xbox One Elite controller a bit heavier, but all feel good in the hands. If you prefer the weight of a NES or SNES (or other pre-analogue sticks) controller though, then you are going to struggle to find one that light except for replicas. Analogue sticks and rumble add a fair bit of weight, but the batteries are generally the heaviest part, so a wired 360 controller is certainly a good compromise between weight and function, unless the wire itself is an issue.

Had a look inside the Bury St Edmunds store and they hadn't any there. Some reduced RockCandy ones but no official. Amazon is £22.25 now (cheaper than the £25 the other day) with prime if anyone still needs one though.
