Seriously, I do not possess a blender in 2017. Nor have I possessed one in any previous year.
I do possess a kettle.
No, that sounds horrific.
Good for you.

Got mine a couple of days ago from the same deal, honestly the best purchase I've ever made, blends frozen Fruits in a couple of seconds. You get a pair of blades one for milling and one for extracting. In terms of grinding and mincing you will have to get used to it because it requires just a couple of gentle taps because it really is that powerful. You also get a choice of one big and one small cup.
2 years warranty and being from JL makes this a really good deal in my opinion. If you are looking after something even more powerful Amazon sell Salter which is 1000W for £40.

These are in stock in store at the new John Lewis in Leeds. I just bought one...as part of the offer they are supposed to give you some sort of seed pack. When I asked about it they said they had none in stock and a supervisor told them to discount the bullet by £15. Just bagged one of these bad boys for £25. Will post the receipt once I figure out how!

Listen pal/pal-ette, if you want to jump on the latest retro hipster bandwagon and get sold the exact same product for twice the price then that's up to you, but to me you sound like a tit who throws money away, so I'd question why you are here.
There is no magic technology involved, it's a cutter that attaches to a spinning motor, so sorry, but both products are "old fashioned".

But if you are the kind of millennial snowflake that can detect "a few telltale dots of blueberry and grape skin but you don’t notice them on the palate" and simply love that it colour coordinates with your kitchen, then this product truly has your name all over it.

Try this in your magic "super powerful" gadget

When she's says the best purchase she will mean in term of a bargain AND for a healthy lifestyle. You are showing your naivety when you call it a juicer. If you are going to have a go at people at least understand the product. These are brilliant and convenient bits of kit and the price on this one is excellent value particularly with the 2 year warranty from an excellent retailer. I have the Breville version and use it daily and I'm not a massive fat bloater. I've just come back from a 5k run where I came 3rd out of 200 runners. What achievements have you had oh wise one ?

Ok so I went into John Lewis and asked the chap at the till for one of these (floor 2, there were no boxed items under the display product). There is a red sign next to the 600 model advising if you purchase it then you receive a free bag of …"mixed seed and fruit". When we got to the till I asked the chap behind the counter if I could have the free bag. He advised that they had ran out of stock. I (cheekily) said that I would like a bag of something else free then (chancing it a little) he then spoke to his supervisor who advised him that the as they were out of stock of the bags of seeds they have been advised 9by the manager) to deduct £15 off the price of the nutri bullet (mind boggling I know but I have no idea how much these seed bags cost). The chap scanned my item and deducted £15 from the bullet which ended up costing me approx £25. I swiftly scurried out of the store and slapped a post on here so others can enjoy. Hope this clears it up.

Thankfully working in a different office today with a JL nearby, managed to buy the last one on the shelf. Been after one for a while but I procrastinate forever on make/model. This deal has given me the confidence to ditch the usual months of research and "Impulse Buy" a HUKD at a good price - Let's hope it doesn't let me down :-)

I'm surprised no one has just said - "I bought a Salter the other day and threw in my Nutribullet and it turned it to smoothie smoother than the Fonz of smoothies". If it's not a deal for you, keep your Salter. It's OK. Everyone is allowed to have a preference - Coke & Pepsi.

So what was it then? Did you mean around, roughly or approximately?

The best purchase you have ever made, wow!

Guess I must of been spoiled by the actual deals I have picked up that have been, like, 20% of the RRP

And a lot of the users on here is exactly why I haven't joined and only share anything that is of no use to me LOL!

IMO juicers are a bit of a waste of time. All these seem to do is make baby food.

We need pics of these virtuous paragons of health buying into this. Massive fat bloaters need not apply!!!

It is the same thing in principle but has less capacity and a lower power motor that won't deal with some foodstuffs as well or ice cubes. £13.49 is a good price though I think normally they would start at about £17.99 for similar. 600/700W is the middle ranking and then I guess 900-1200W is the top level. I needed the extra power level because I need to blend ice cubes when making smoothies and like to make the smoothies quickly.

I doubt there is any Salter factory for these. This will be made in Chinese factories to their own design and european companies will order with their branding on.

Look at alibaba if you want to find the true manufacturer of these.

This one looks like the Salter model.

https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/Nutrition-Extractor-BPA-free-material-Tritan_60119263774.html

https://ahhn.en.alibaba.com/search/product?SearchText=juicer+extractor

Appears to be a different factory to the nutribullet/nutriblend and similar models.

Maybe something like this for nutribullet etc.

I had a Salter one and loved it but i've gone through 2 now where the motor either gives up and there is a fault with leaking cups causing a short. Same with the Tower ones (rebranded Salter) from B&M/Wilko

Bought the 1000W model from the telegraph offer sometime ago that was listed on here. Fantastic and have used it 100s of times. Seems to be identical to the 900W/1000W nutribullet but I suspect even models from other companies would be fine or better. Nutribullet is the recognised brand for these but I think other brands offer better value and equal quality.

Worth checking out the nutriblend range you may find better for less. This was the one I got.

So you're commenting on this deal thread because of what? Clearly you don't see the need for this blender, but you just felt you'd have to make smug comments on here for what reason? To show off? To impress people with your old fashioned attitude? You just ended up sounding like a tit...

Nope, that just made me aware of a group of people who can't tolerate vegetable shakes with a hint of vegetable - God knows how they'd cope with soup with a whole pea in it.

"I can see a few telltale dots of blueberry and grape skin but you don’t notice them on the palate"

"disturbing inch-long threads of celery string"

I was getting ready for bed, but now I'm overcome with a desire to mash the unbearable hipster Ms Henrietta, face first into an overpriced blender. It's my fault, I should have never clicked on a link to the Guardian, their insufferable smug idiocy makes me rage, even when they've confined their fatuous witterings to simple kitchen gadgets..
iEimis
5 Jan 17 1 #20
It depends on what you will use it for. I would say if you want something more powerful, go for Salter because personally, I wouldn't justify £60 for such device. Then again for what I need 600W is more than powerful enough.
Manda2
5 Jan 17 #17
I loved my Nutribullet, right up until the point where I tried to get replacement rubber rings for the milling and extractor blades and was told that they are not sold in isolation. I would have to buy entire blade units at ten pounds a piece. It was also implied that it's my fault that they broke because I wasn't supposed to take them out; despite the amount of food that gets trapped underneath them. Err, okay.

It's just a blender, are you seriously telling me you do not posses a blender in 2017?
How about a kettle? do you have one of those or would you like this special miniature one that only makes one cup

Personally I just stick a load of fruit and veg in a normal sized blender, drink half then drink the rest later.
Job done.
