It's got freeview on one tab and premium channels on a separate tab. The EPG has no numbers for the channels and all the free view HD channels are at the bottom so you need to scroll to it. If you have the entertainment pack, that is accesses via the separate app on the box. I have signed up for Now TV broadband and TV and have this box. If really does need the EPG sorting out and with no hard drive for recordings (though it can do pause /rewind) I can understand why the price is falling. Pretty basic but an update could fix the EPG.

I have one for the bedroom and a lack of numbers isn't ideal, but it still works ok. You have to scroll down, but as a backup it works. TV guide is available on the first screen, not an app

I don't own one but I'm sure I read a review saying that the now tv channels are not in the guide mixed with freeview channels. You have to open an app to find them so not very slick.

Somehow, I VERY much doubt that! The old boxes, yes, but not a smart box.

The lack of numbers on the remote would be more annoying to me. Heat for price.

Cheers for that. Not sure the tv guide is essential for me though. Only really watch MOTD and one or two other things I know are on.

The freeview on it is fine but it's TV guide is lacking seeing as it only shows now and next. There's a new software update in beta just now though so i would expect it to be improved soon.

When you say poorly implemented what are you referring to? I was looking at getting one of these - got a 1080p tv in the bedroom but no freeview HD built in and the normal SD tv from the aerial looks pretty, erm, well crap. Running a WDTV box at 1080p looks superb so I was looking at a cheap way of getting freeview HD. Does this box not deliver??

Looks like the standard smart box with Freeview HD (poorly implemented) from the photo.

This is the new box, but won't be available in every Asda for this price. Worth looking though at that price as it's only £5 more than the older box.
