Steam need to have a Mortal Kombat voice that says "Finish them" when you buy a game.

This is not "the newest chapter"... this version was released in 2013, while the latest version, Mortal Kombat X, was released in 2015.
I realise the OP has just done a copy/paste from the product page, however, some unwitting people may be mislead by the description.

Just to be clear... this isn't the latest one. This is basically Mortal Kombat 9... the blurb was written pre Mortal Kombat X. Which is a better game and cheap as chips too.

bam, pushed this above 1000c. great game, good combat (kombat ?) and entertaining enough story modes plus games signature brutal moves and finishers are great fun. dunno if PC mp is still active (or even if it supports local multiplayer) but grab a pad and it'll do you for singleplayer fun till mkX drops (Xl already sub£20 on consoles)

This is why I don't buy games on sale much because theres just going to be a point where you have too many games and you just get overwelmed with what to play and end up playing nothing. I think this theory is called "paradox of choice".

It also definitely isn't "The newest chapter of the iconic fighting franchise".. but Heat for that price!!! Had a few good laughs playing online with a friend. Add it to your pile of shame people, it's worth it.

I've just checked my steam profile on that site :s
I've played hours of Civ IV, V, Red Orchestra, GTA series, and a bunch of other games, with no game time recorded.
I used to be hooked on CS: Source, even playing comp in my late teens/early 20's. 1.2 hours recorded.
541.6 hours recorded on TF2. I've spent more time than that playing Engineer, with Pyro, Heavy, and Sniper not far behind according to in game stats. IIRC they didn't track class play time at launch, and I did a reset (or had a reset as the result of a glitch - I forget, it was a long time ago) at one point, so those numbers are on the low side.
I call bull**** TBH. Factoring in the frankly staggering number of mistakes, and stripping out duplicates, betas, expansion packs showing as full games, and demos, I've played about 90% of my Steam library.

Thanks OP, ordered! Probably won't get round to playing it like 90% of the people above, tell myself my 5 year old boy might play it when he's older or something to justify the massive outlay of £0.99!

In a way yes. If I buy at full price but absolutely rinse the game that would be better than buying a bunch of games at a cheaper price like for example GTA 5 which I bought full price in 2014 and only now in 2017 its at half price but in that time I easily got my moneys worth but it depends on the game and how much replay value it has. Red dead 2 will probably be a day 1 digital buy as well. Theres some games where I just can't wait for a chance to get cheaper.
