Saw this in Morrisons today and couldn't see that this deal had been recently posted.
Went into Morrisons after work to pick up a salad bar for lunch tomorrow and noticed that the £2.50 medium salad bar is now part of the £3 meal deal (maybe it has always been and I haven't noticed)!
I got the medium salad bar (which I was getting anyway) and picked up a millionaire shortbread and a Red Bull for an extra 50p!
Thought that £3 for all this was a bargain and you can get Morrisons more points.

I thought it had been part of the meal deal for a while?
Has been going ages. Where has everyone been not to notice the Morrison's meal deal? You can even have a hot drink now in many stores (in place of the cold drink), as Morrisons have installed hot dinks machines next to the sandwiches in many stores Can't seem to get much in a medium salad container anymore thou , not sure whether they've made them smaller .
For me I normally go for a triple pack of sandwiches with a drink and a fruit pot instead on this meal deal

Thanks for the heads up OP, i wasn't aware of this.
I need to give the Morrisons meal deal a try, probably tomorrow.
Both the Sainsburys and Tesco meal deals have gone heavily downhill in the last year, but Boots is currently my go to, as it's great value and selection for £3.29

Great deal, yes it's been going for a long time But Morrison's don't seem to want to share it,sometimes the sign is up at the salad bar advertising the deal but more often it's not..

How can anyone spend £2.50 on just salad stuff???!!!
king132 to mergleb
4 Jan 173#28
......maybe because buying every individual item on the salad bar separately would actually work out more expensive, than paying a bit more for having the selection of the individual items.
so you have a salad to be healthier but then ruin it with a red bull and cake? :stuck_out_tongue: good spot have some heat

yay, hot deal (its been like this for a while now though - the one in Leeds has a notice that tells you). The bit they don't tell you is that you have to walk past the tills to get to the meal deal part of the store!

It is a good bargain. You can get the £1.20 portion of wedges as a snack too. Add in the drink and they are pretty much throwing the food away!

This is good information. Morison's meal deal now surely the best of the supermarkets? I know someone will throw boots in there but it doesn't count!

90% of the stuff in the salad selection is not healthy anyway. Covered in mayo. So the cake and red bull ain't making much difference! Nice spot though. Never knew this.

So you've been benefiting from it, but don't consider it a deal? Do you think it is too expensive? If so, why carry on buying it?
Seems that lots of people knew about it and admittedly it was posted ages ago (as I was shown at the start of the thread) but I don't see how a reminder hurts. There also seem to be lots of people like myself who didn't know about it.
Just because you know about something and have been benefitting for months, I don't think you can assume that everyone does.
If YOU had posted this deal before Christmas you would have probably saved me a little on my lunch.

I've always thought Morrison's £3 meal deal is one of the best value around, but had no idea it included the £2.50 salad bar too! Same for hubby & eldest daughter who get them quite often on the way to work etc... Thanks for posting OP - HOT from me
