Good Grief! I got a PS4 recently and I keep buying these unmissable bargains. I'm going to have a stack of unplaced games to rival my Steam collection soon! Heat OP thanks!

I just can't decide whether I like the look of it, is it an improvement on the first game?

I've really enjoyed it (twice). I like the fact that it just feels different to a lot of games out there. I like the strong female lead, I like the downbeat futurism, I like the sense of freedom and movement as you sprint over rooftops. Personally I think £8.99 is a bargain, but I'd pay that money for an Indie game and not grumble if it was on PS plus the next month.

My son loves the game. He completed the first one on ps3 and the 360any times.

Surely it's worth £8.99? It did get blasted in the reviews though

Cheesy storyline but gameplay is an open world, polished version of the first game. Unfortunately open world isn't always a good thing, but sticking to the main story missions makes it feel a lot more structured and linear (in a good way). Worth it at this price for the music alone, Solar Fields have somehow improved heavily on the soundtrack.

Hot price spot. However - according to reviews at least - the trial and error gameplay is a killer for me, frustrating as hell. This coupled with a backlog of games I posses, pass.

Very tempted but I wasn't overawed with the original and this seems like a good shout for a PS Plus game. Heat though.

I bought it in the end, somewhat enjoyed the original and even if I only get an hour or two out of it it's still better value than some things you can spend £8.99 on

Jumped into this yesterday thanks to ea access and disappointing is an understatement.
Original was so good, this is just a mess of a game with free running taking over from an actual storyline.

I too was massively hyped for this, then the reviews cut my expectations and I've been waiting for a sub 20 deal ever since. Cheers!

Totally! Just remember it's usually better to run away from a fight, but if you have to fight, keep moving - movement builds up a defensive shield - and attack from above. Even if you have to stand on an air conditioning unit and take people out as they run towards you, it's better than being on the same level.

I was a Huge fan of the original.
Bought this one was extremely disappointed.
Better off buying something great like doom in the same price range.

CDkeys . com with the 5% Facebook code will always be the cheapest. Not sure they have any deals on at the moment (sometimes around £32), but either way it'll save you at least a fiver I think on the retail price.

My daughter just finished this through EA Access, she loves this more than the original but part of that is the frame rate is better on this one that the 360 original.
I haven't had time to play. But if you don't have EA Access and like the idea of good free running then it's a steal.
Anyone recommend anything similar?

Titanfall 2 is the only thing that comes even remotely close as far as 1st person platforming wallrunning etc goes, but definitely not for the younger audiences.
Opinions are mixed but I enjoyed it a lot due to the platforming elements. in fact the campaign made the likes of Battlefield 1 seem boring imo. It's maybe a little longer in length than the original mirror's edge so not really time consuming either.

Was going to jump on this but I've so much to play from all the recent sales I'll pass. It'll only stay on my hard drive untouched until its in a sale again no doubt anyway  top price though, heat added. :sunglasses:
