Yea this essentially was my point but you didn't fully quote me (and I said it in less words).

Did you send me this after you'd sent me the private message calling me a stupid ****? Touched a nerve eh...?

Sorry just checked, it was £629 for the i5 & keyboard cover from the currys pcworld eBay shop, not £599.
Also, to the others, I only posted because for me at least it's useful to know previous prices/deals when looking for something.

Nobody is living in the past - people are just aware that prices for items like this fluctuate all the time based on product life cycle, supply and demand etc - and would rather buy it at the bottom of a price fluctuation rather than at the top (unless they absolutely must have this item today).
When SP5 comes out in the Spring, the price on this is also definitely going to drop, so paying £700+ for an m3 with keyboard right now is unlikely to be represent best value.

No point in living in the past, this is todays price. If you want it you'll pay otherwise the next price drop will be when the next surface launches.

Yeah I should have been more clear, you only ever get it in a bundle deal. It doesn't come with it by default.

Argos seem to be the cheapest i5 this morning, 670 for the version with pen but no keyboard.
Keyboard from Amazon or John Lewis for 80.

Are you sure? Cheapest I can find from Black Friday was 699 for the i5

Idiot, we just use our time machines and get the best ever price. Only morons pay the current price.

It's a good deal, for people wanting to buy it today, not in 2016.

Oh I thought this site was about the best current price, not the price if we went back in time?

If you guys can hold on, Microsoft are likely to announce the Surface Pro 5 at MWC in March.

I got the i5 version WITH the keyboard cover for £599 on black Friday, this should be freezing cold.
I don't think this even includes the keyboard cover... really bad deal.

If that £635 price doesn't include the keyboard, this deal is COLD.

I think the £599 deal was for the m3, and it was £699 for the i3 package. I could be wrong, but Google suggests not

Of course it is. The Microsoft Store had a sale before Christmas where the SP4 and keyboard were bundled together for £649 to £799 depending on spec. A deal for that was posted on here.

Even better, it was the i5 and keypad for 599,was a manufacturer sponsored offer but no where has any left, this is pretty measly from them in comparison but best deal on one atm.
If you are after the i5 you can get it from curry's for 699 instead of 720 on Microsoft

I have Surface Pro 3 - really nice. Only gripe is no way to swap hdd, ram etc. That aside, I'm very happy with it.
