I have checked with the seller it definitely supports band 20. Not many reviews or info out there on this one apart from some videos on youtube but not any in English. However this phone looks great. Also support OTA updates - seller confirmed.
Curved edge glass just like the iPhone. Also supports micro SD up to 128gb.
the main issue with the less main stream phones from China is - 1) lack of gyroscope and NFC 2) Warranty 3) Camera is usually flawed (but adequate) 4) Updates are usually rare.
Saying that, you can pick up a bargain! remember the Vodafone phones are just rebranded Chinese phones and most of those are excellent devices. I'm currently weighing up an Elephone P9000 as my next device.
its always worth checking the XDA forums for the phone to see what level of support they have. Yes a Chinese branded phone can be a risk, but there are hidden gems out there.

Had an Elephone p7000 for 18 months, liked the phone a lot. Software had a few OTA updates after launch but was stuck on android 5.0 as Mediatek never released the source code - although this appears to have been a p7000 specific issue.
I was interested in some of the newer models in the hope that the camera would be an improvement. Firstly the Vowney, but they changed the spec before launch and it's been nothing but a disappointment, then the p9000, but its had its share of problems and they're now dragging their heels on the android 7 update that was promised in November. I had hopes for the R9 that was to be released in November, it seems to have sunk without a trace? The S7 reviews haven't been that good - and Elephone continue to advertise new models every couple of weeks.
Bottom line is that I've lost faith in Elephone, and until they produce a model that's relatively fault free and improve their customer service I'll be avoiding them.
Meantime I've got an Xiaomi Mi Max and so far I'm very impressed with the company, they seem much more professional than Elephone, and the quality of the phone build is excellent. Not everyone is a fan of their software, I actually quite like it, and I've had one update already, and I know that an android 7 version is under test.

I had a MX4 Pro. It was amazing build quality and performance and top notch camera. However the weaknesses of the software and lack of updates and support put me off. Still good for the price.

I have the Meizu metal, quite like its Flyme OS, very stable and fast. First class build quality.

I've got the Meizu MX4 Pro. Agree about the update situation but disagree about the OS. Really like Flyme. IMO I genuinely don't think Meizu have ever sold a more upmarket mobile (at the time,relative to competitors) than the MX4 Pro. Superb Sony 20.7 camera, QHD (and then a bit!) screen, real HiFi DAC etc etc.

Personally having owned the UMI Super and had my pre order for the Plus E cancelled by UMI due to lack of stock i'd stay away from UMI. The GPS on the Super was dire, constantly hunting for a satellite and unable to lock on to one and UMI ignored the issue despite loads of complaints on their forums.
Currently rocking a 32Gb Xiaomi RedMi Note 3 Pro SE (Kate) and for the price (£116 after cashback) it's the muts nuts. Unlocked the bootloader and its now running CM14.1 with no issues. For the money it wipes the floor with anything else in the price bracket.

They have changed it. It said band 20 the other day and the seller was adamant that it had band 20, I even asked them twice. Luckily I am on sim only and can switch to another provider easily, might be able to worm a partial refund as it wasn't as described when I purchased.

Plenty of china phones have gyroscopts nfc ect you just have to find the right ones as for vat/duty free if its sent by china airmail you will never have to pay any duty to get it. This only happens if you order via courier who will usually email you to pay the duty before they forward it on for delivery.

How so? VAT and import duty are customs matters - they are nothing to do with couriers per se. Of course particular couriers might check every package they import, but there's nothing to stop customs intercepting anything, regardless of which company is transporting it. If you don't specify a particular company, the package will be brought to you by your postie, and Royal Mail is perfectly capable of withholding items.

Except they dont, iv been rodering things from china for over 10 years and not a single package shipped by china airmail has been intercepted or inspected. China sellers often declare them as lower value than they are so they get through, couriers are harder and of all the things iv bought from china such as phones, tablets and laptops only once did i have to pay duty and that was something shipped via DHL.
Dont just take my word for it everyone that orders from china fairly regually knows you more or less never pay duty on items shipped by china air mail.

Let me tell you. The build quality of this thing is AMAZING. on par with iPhone (I have a 7 plus also). Software seems very snappy and google play store comes pre installed. Unfortunately no band 20 though so I need to get back to the seller about this. Have screen shots of the seller saying it has band 20 so hoping to get some sort of partial refund.
For the money though this thing is incredible. I am literally shocked how this could be so cheap for how it looks and feels in the hand. So far I definitely recommend it!!
