Another good freebie game from Origin (or rather I should say Electronic Arts). I only got around to completing Mass Effect a few weeks ago so it was nice timing to get it's highly rated and supposedly even better sequel gratis. Includes some additional Cerberus Network dlc bonus content packs too. Still currently selling for £19.99 on Steam !

Good man, thanks oUkTuRkEyIII. After installing Origin, I discovered that I still have access to a game that I thought I had lost years ago..Burnout Paradise. I remember being a bit let down by it in comparison to Burnout 3: Takedown. but going to give it another go as well as trying Mass Effect 2 for the first time. Much appreciated.

the dlc missions are better than the original games, 2 has arrival which has the main enemy in 3 (the reapers) turning up at the galactic edge and in order to delay them shepard has to sacrifice an 300k civilians(makes more sense why he is I trial I 3 if you do this) and 3 simply doesn't make sense without the dlc.. In leviathan you learn the reaper origins.. that should definitely have been in the main game... in citadel you meet a clone of yourself and you get to have shore leave with your crew... it's awesome
disagree with only femshep though... I can't play as femshep... probally as I'm male and roleplaying mostly paragon but still...

I picked up Mass Effect 2 on PS3 for a few quid on ebay. It came out a year or so after the 360 version. Best copy you can get for it as they made graphical improvements to it. Also starts with an overview of events that took place in the first game, allowing you to make key decisions that will have an impact on your playthrough of the sequel.
Edit: Forgot to mention that it comes with most of the DLC that was released. Bargain.

If you have a PC go to CDkeys and get a months EA access for £2.99 and then play through all three versions of the games with all the DLC, as the deluxe versions are on EA access on the PC.
£2.99 to binge on the deluxe version of these games for a month is a steal.

Great offer for anyone that doesn't have it, but it has been free on Origin before so it's already in my library. I'm guessing the timing of this second offer is to help promote the release of Andromeda. Would have been nice if they'd offered the first game instead/as well to help my collection along (previously only played them on 360).
The simplest and most effective solution I found for it was this - github.com/Eri…w32
Yes, it's ridiculous, isn't it? I keep looking at getting the trilogy edition, because it's only £5-10, but despite including all 3 games and the one piece of DLC for the first game, it doesn't include any DLC for 2 or 3, which is a huge oversight. Then you look at buying it separately and it's only available from BioWare themselves (even if you try buying through Origin, it redirects you) and you have to pay for it in their fake currency (BioWare points) which no one uses anymore, or ever used, so they're really expensive and the DLC is never on sale so you're looking at something like 3600 points for ME2 and 4800 for ME3 - for a total of 8400 points, and they're £1 per 100 on Origin so that's £84, except you can only buy them in lots of 800 or 1600, so at 5x 1600 and 1x 800 you'd have 400 points leftover so it would have cost you £88. That's crazy pricing for any game, never mind one that's almost 5 years old. The only consolation is that most of the DLC isn't worth getting (there's a lot of aesthetic stuff and a digital comic) but apparently some of the extra missions are worth playing, it's just a shame they'll cost you more than the base games.
Some sort of complete trilogy edition would be nice to have to play through before Andromeda is released, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen. And yes, Fem Shep's voice acting is excellent, and that's because it's Jennifer Hale - veteran voice actor who's been hundreds of video games and she's pretty good in all of them.

Long overdue a hd trilogy remaster. I'm surprised they didn't commision the likes of Bluepoint Games to release one to in the run up to the release of Andromeda. Totally agree on the female shephard the voice actor was very good.
Mass effect 2 actually looks great in 4k. The mods are a bit of a pain though. A list from another deal thread:

Long overdue a GOTY edition. ME2 is superb the only game other than half life I've bothered to play through more than once, has the best characters of all 3 games, took out most of the unnecessary RPG stuff from the first one and combat is much improved.
BTW - forget playing as male shepard first time through, being a bitchy female was much more fun and the voice acting for her is brilliant, best I've seen in a game.
