Ah, but fat people can get thin! There's already an obesity epidemic helping to destroy the NHS and diabetes is a very nasty condition likely to lead to loss of limbs, etc. Nothing wrong with calling a fat person 'fat' (or a white person 'white' or a black person black for that matter). 20 years of PC have damaged our ability to communicate by trying to create artificial guilt over the use of simple descriptive language.

But if means they get a bit of cardio out of wearing it, stay safe and maybe realise food isn't the best reward in life. Well good luck to them.

C'mon fist of all every body is judgemental. Race is by no means comparable with being fat... race is what you born with, you can't choose what colour you are, however fat means lazy, lack of exercise, don't care about your own health... You can choose not to be fat if you want to and cost effort. All fat people say they are happy are self-deceiving, they know they would look better if skinnier they know they are more likely to get health issue they just don't want to deal with it.

What about people with serious depression who crave the endorphin rush?

There are many more reasons than just people choosing to eat.

Wut?? Are you really claiming that just because you crave something, you do not have a choice in whether or not you satisfy that craving?
Duckman
14 Jan 17 4 #78
Or another way to look at it: that we have an extraordinarily high number of people with eating disorders, or who are unnaturally thin, due to people like you, advertising on TV, magazines etc perpetuating the myth that all women should be skinny even when they're not designed that way. People come in all shapes and sizes.

Obesity is a problem too, yes; but (and I'm surprised I have to spell this out for the ignorant) 'plus-size' doesn't in any way mean obese. As for the term 'fat', again bandied around by the misogynist moron brigade to belittle perfectly normal, healthy and attractive women who may not match their adolescent view of the 'perfect' stick-thin supermodel, well.. let's just say the ladies are the lucky ones.
WillPS
14 Jan 17 3 #79
There are cravings ("oh I really fancy x") and then there are cravings ("I must have x or y will happen").

In the specific case of sleep issues - x could well be sugar and y could be 'or I will fall asleep'.

In the specific case of depression - x could be *anything* and y could be 'or I might feel worse than I do now and commit suicide'.

In both specific cases the answer is a long term solution rather than a short term one, but in both cases identifying that is only easy when you know the answer. Incidentally - in neither case is a helpful answer "lose some weight" - if you fix the underlying problem then losing weight is the easy bit.

There are plenty more specific examples out there - you don't know when you look at somebody why they are carrying that much weight. "Because they've eaten too much" isn't enough of a reason.

Being happy and healthy is the key. Shaming people is no way to make them feel happy.

I would be classed as a 'fat' ladies, but fat isn't what defines me, its my personality. I struggle to loose weight due to having a csection and then a car crash which has given me chronic life long back pain limiting a lot I can do. I however embrace what I have and make a fair bit of money from it (see prof pic). I find it quite upsetting that alot of narrow minded people wouldn't look at someone like me because of 'fat' when really you wouldnt even know my circumstances or know me as an individual. just assume that I eat all day every day when actually, I eat quite healthy and I walk most places.

I have struggled with my weight my whole life, do you know how I fixed it? Discipline, healthy eating and exercising. Plus size is fat, dont like it, lose weight.

Yes there are people with eating disorders or other reasons why they eat, but that is about 10% of fat people and even then as I was one of those people (comfort eating and medication side effects), can change and pandering and telling people off is not helpful. Accept who you are and that you like to eat and what comes with,l including jokes, or lose weight, its not like racism or sexism, its not even like being ginger.

I sincerely doubt that if I ever by any reason got to be a "plus size" I would be showing this off in set like that. Humans simply not meant to be fat it is not natural neither healthy by any means.
You can call it however you like but it simply is fat as opposite to slim , that's the fact.
I understand that SOME people either have medical condition or some other ongoing issues but not everyone, most of them just do not care, choose to eat burgers, chips and other cheap fast food because it is convenient, the worst part is that they pass those habits on kids , just last week saw a big woman with small kid still in buggy but already with McDonald's Happy Meal...
I would rather spend my money on slimming diet rather than lingerie like that.
catbeans
14 Jan 17 1 #105
Yes it is, its exactly what it is, people are plus sized because they have fat under their skin, in their muscles, around their organs etc making their body bigger. So fat is exactly what it is, if you are talking big breasts and broad hips thats one thing, but that isn't really plus size is it. The lady in the picture quite clearly is fat, not massively, you could call her chubby, but it is fat.

She's spent a large part of her adult life on steroids to keep her alive, and as a result is larger than average.
Imagine if she sees an offer like this on HUKD, clicks into it, and sees the thoughtless, hateful and disgustingly heartless things people are saying.
Is hard enough living with a condition that affects your life, trying to boost your confidence and then having it torn apart by people not willing to understand or learn makes it even harder for them.
Get a bloody life you thoughtless hoardes.

What do you mean, "should" look like? that alone is a ridiculous thing to say. Have you spoken to the overseer of everything and got confirmation of how women should look? Women come in all shapes and sizes and someones opinion of what their ideal woman should look like can't be wrong.

But it's not about colour....why bring peoples skin colour in to it? People have a choice about their size, if they choose to eat too much and not exercise enough they will be a big lump. But to then dress up in 'sexy' gear is a stomach turner. You can put lipstick on a pig but it's still a pig.

I really don't get all these people getting offended. There are millions, even billions whom would not find me attractive, but I wouldn't moan about it. Never knew it was wrong for people to say what they do find attractive and what they do not.

Still feeling sick about gunt, now that is NASTY!

I think she looks great, but then again, if I didn't, I would not comment, as I am not a dick.

I think that everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
One would like apples and other oranges, none of them would be wrong it is a matter of personal taste.
If someone likes only slim pretty woman it is their choice and they can express it in the same way like those who like large ladies, nothing wrong with that. No one should be offended by that.

No one is perfect and IMO the only thing that matters is how you feel with yourself.
If you are happy being overweight purely by your choice or laziness than you got right to be , but do not get offended when someone brings out that fact and do not expect others to pretend to be otherwise.

I am a woman but I can understand those who are not attracted to plus size or overweight ladies as I myself do not find this the prettiest and most attractive picture ever....opposite in fact..
