Who in their right mind spends a grand let alone 16k on one bottle of anything?! There's people homeless in this country yet there's people buying drink for this joke of a price.
For 16k I'd expect to have come from miley cyrus' fanny or to give me some kind of super power!

You made a good point up until the Miley Cyrus part... £16k for that??? err

Do you moan at everyone who drives around is anything other than a 20 year old Vauxhall corsa or anyone with a house with more bedrooms than they need, or with people who go on holiday to anywhere other than their home country?

Don't worry, it's an 'in joke' based on Tesco price glitches. Last week it was range cookers and American style fridges. Apparently, some did get delivered...

Looks like a price glitch. Prepare for the flood of 'Order Cancelled' emails and outraged HUKDers.

I tried to post more in my original post description (to warn that it may be a misprice & orders may be cancelled), but it wouldn't let me (maybe as it's my first post?).

That's why I fannied about for so long but a quick look online shows many top end retailers selling them for £17.5k I reckon it would have been easy enough to get shot of 2 for £25k quickly or hold on to them for a few years and an even better return, still that ship has sailed now... Or rather that bubble has burst (pun intended)

And this is just the bottle, i'd be scared to drink it in case it ended up in the recycling....

When referring to champagne, disgorgement date actually indicates when the wine was cleared of its lees (basically yeast deposits) in order to give an indication of its flavour profile, rather than in the traditional sense of the word. The same champagne with different disgorgement dates can have quite profound flavour differences. The bottle in this deal is most certainly full!
