Prices are only really relevant to what the current market is like so if you need this now then its a good post. For me though it would grate too much to pay £179.99 for something that was £129.99 last year.

I know what you mean but one day sales are an outlier and really have very little to do with the real value of something. £180 beans for G29 and the shifter is a great price.
To be honest I'm still tempted by this G29 offer but it does grate that Logitech have done a deal with Sony to kill the G25/27, have then taken a 2009 product and re-released it with some new buttons.
The big shame for me though is that the Thrustmaster T300 seems to refuse to budge on price - still way too close to £300 and in comparison to launch prices it has not moved like the G29. The belt drive on the Thrustmasters is something else in comparison to the noisy gears used by Logitech.

With gear stick it was 159.99 ..but suppose for the wheel back before xmas that price was a good deal..but it's not about then it's about now..and I wish I could find it for £129.99 I'd be telling the whole world lol

The last time I used a steering wheel was on Xbox 360 and it was a cheap crappy thing like an arcade game.
Setting this one up with the stitched leather wheel, quality pedals with clutch and shifter on my pc was far from arcade.
Set up wheel , loaded Project cars and set the wheel up, test drive round Cadwell and I could feel my smile getting bigger, feeling the weight through the wheel when driving the car slow, the wheel kicking and resisting as hitting an apex or giving too much throttle round the bend. This set exceeded my expectation by miles.
I was a bit dubious from reading reviews and people getting technically comparing it to thrustmaster, fanatel wheels etc talking about dead zones and other rubbish, if your a casual racing game enthusiast like me then you should love it

Has anyone else had calibration problems and the wheel going off centre? I have had to return two now, as after a short while of playing Dirt on the PC, it will go off by 10-15°. Unplugging and plugging back in sometimes helped but it would soon go back. Even after one complete and fresh re-install it wouldn't even calibrate straight during the set up.

I got the 129 deal before also.
The manual shifter is crap, been looking at replacing it with the gated one Thrust master do which seems quite popular.

This or g920 (I'm playing on PC)?

I'd go with this. There's no LEDs for revs/shift on the g920, though if that doesn't bother you I personally think the g920 styling is better.

I've got one of these and tbh I don't think it's any better than the g25 it replaced. I only replaced it in the first place because it wouldn't work with the ps4. Hopefully the g29 will last as long.

some games hate the 900° others are fine (dirt rally).
example forza horizon 3 seems to like in and around 720 as the wheel stock feels super floaty and dirt 3 is just a joke all together! from 12 to 4 is nothingness then magically you're at full lock

I know what you mean but it is pretty incredible what Sony have been able to do with the PS4 and PSVR - I was surprised just how good it actually is.

Cold considering it was £129.99 for the full lot at Christmas. Wouldn't pay that for it even though it's a great piece of kit.

The prices of these are all over the place. They change so much. Sometimes it's super high sometimes they drop the price to £129.99.

The £130 deal in December was crazy good, but to be clear, this is still well worth £180 if you're in the market for this sort of thing.
I wish it was more readily compatible with pre-2013 PC games without having to fiddle around with .ini files, but it is what it is. The hardware is super solid and the force feedback is great. Worth it!
