Thanks OP. Ordered the torx too. It works out cheaper to buy the two separately from the same seller than buying the two together as they are separate items anyway.

£4.98 on Amazon as an Addon item if people prefer Amazon , also the Amazon page show a link to the new version which I guess is why these are reduced, but don't think I'll be spending near £19!

Would they be good for dismantling a smartphone?

No, phones usually require philips #000 plus some manufacturers use other types of screws (Apple use P2 on the outside and #000 interally, for example)

Hopefully these will be alright for my laptop as I threaded my screws on an old laptop using a normal sized screw driver that seemed the right size.

Would also recommend a long screwdriver for desktops, as some heatsink/coolers get in the way of motherboard screws and you'll have a hardtime opening them with this set.

The last time I used one was when the Philips I had to hand didn't fit well enough :smirk:

Yes it's compulsory
Actually I was thinking that I almost never use flathead screwdrivers. The last time was on a watch bracelet

I don't think I've ever needed a flatheaded screwdriver when working on a pc or laptop
