To be honest not really, if you want a really HD, like super HD Hdmi cable currys have some really good Sandstrom ones for about £80.00, it would darude not to at that price..

the 55" e6 is a similar price and arguably better, but if you just watch tv and dont play games, yes.
Probably because the code wasn't working for long and people couldn't get it for that price.

He's probably talking about the 1080p OlED 2015 model that Amazon keeps dropping to about £890.
A lot of people get all the LG OLED models mixed up. They just see LG and OLED and assume it's all the same.

At £2600, this is just too expensive for most people.
I know that the 55" OLED TV was around £1k, a few days ago, so most should go for that instead.

No competition on oled in the UK = an higher price :wink: Even though Sony are doing oled screens this year it's alleged LG are still making the panels, So don't expect low priced oled anytime soon...

Not quite, you do get high speed, deep color and ethernet versions as well. I'd look for build quality as well because if they short internally you can kill a hdmi socket as the little **** have zero protection on them. Hot swapping can seriously damage you hdmi ports too.
When you're running longer cables such as 10-30 metres then you obviously need better shielding as it increases the chance of siginal loss (Google hdmi sparkles). Up to 10 metres I don't think you're going to need anything special as long as it supports the standards you need.
It's buyer beware as if you buy a £1 hdmi from poundland which is shorted out due to shoddy QA you're going to wipeout your equipment. I'd recommend buying amazon basics as they're cheap but have good QA compared to some of these cables that come apart in your hand.

Another one that falls for the hdmi marketing gimmicks. Never buy an expensive Hdmi cable.. Hdmi is hdmi it sends the same signal regardless.
Shops use a technique were they compare picture qualitys by putting a non hdmi picture ln one screen to fool you that a 'premium' hdmi produces a better picture

My fear is that these companies are so much better at managing inventory that by the time the new ones come out there are not.many 2016 models in the channel.
Try and find a 55" Samsung KS7000 for instance, all gone or back to launch day prices.
