I've been looking at tablets recently and the Samsung Tab S2 is far too expensive.
I came across this, seems fairly priced with some really good specs and the 2k screen, 3gb ram as well as a snapdragon chip are bonuses for this price.
Would like your thoughts though.

I found my tablets battery is draining fast and looking at the stats it looks like it is the Android system and Media server. Anyone else having this issue?

Yeah I've had that too.. I turn the WiFi off at nught or turn the led light off and it's saving the battery. But when I'm using the tablet the battery is amazing. Try the top and see how it goes..

thanks, went for the Asus zenpad 3s 10 as their was nothing at this price range, but prefer a wider angle tablet screen for viewing movies so may switch to this now.

Thanks for the info better off sticking without the projector it's probably something that I won't use very often.

Is the only difference between this and the Pro the projector is everything else the same? Your looking at £400 for the Pro.

You're getting a better processor, better ram, and the battery has shrunk a little, the screen resolution is the same and you get marshmallow already installed. The projector is the only thing missing.. but you can just cast to any screen and you're saving around £140/150 as the pro is still priced at £389

It's had a software update since the problems which has now addressed it. Early batch did have problems and it's just been available in the UK since probably this week, it's been around since November 2016.

This is most probably going to cause a bit of a stir, but I have to ask... Apologies in advance... How do these tablets hold up against an iPad?

Go for the 3 pro, the projector is no gimmick, Ive used it on many of my travels, nothing comes close!

Should I get this or the Asus Zenpad that was posted here a week or two ago(even though it's no longer £250)?

I have the Asus ZenPad 3s 10 and I'm very happy with it. To answer your question, I'd say that it depends what you want the tablet for. The Tab 3 has a much bigger battery, but it sticks out a lot and makes the tablet weigh almost 50% more. If you're using this in the house, then the extra battery and built-in stand may be a bonus. If you want to carry it around outside, the unusual form factor and extra weight could be a burden.

It's a good deal I don't deny that. But I personally don't see it doing anything better than by Yoga 2. I get a feeling with Android tablets there comes a point where better specs don't translate to better products due to the limitations of the OS and the form factor.
Still if I were in a market for a tablet I would consider this a great buy. That's why I voted hot.

It's a nice tablet. But the resolution is too high for this chipset to handle well.
Also quite expensive for what it offers.

Expensive? What kind of price point are you looking at for a 2k display, 3gb ram, octa-core 1.8ghz, decent camera and a 10.1 inch screen.. if this was an ipad you'd be looking at a £600+ price tag :/

These are great tablets. Was using the Tab2 previously but have tried the Tab 3 pro and thats even better. The built in projector is so good! Know its more but if you love to watch movies etc and travel a lot the pro is worth the extra!

Ive been waiting for this tablet since its announcement. looks good but check out the reviews on Amazon Germany. There seems to be a major issue with screen flicker and sound synchronisation however this may have been resolved with a recent update.
