Lol...I'd have been in for a "Shock" as well, at that price.

The blue one is £19.99. Stock seems severely limited though.

Is that not the machine only without the frother? 9 of the pod machine only in stock at Accrington.

Just goes to show that people are getting fed up of being ripped off for pods. Look for lots more at your local boot sale.

And your evidence is? If these machines are so desirable how come the prices are being discounted so much ?

You should pay attention to what you write. I was commenting on your claim that "people are getting fed up of being ripped off for pods" no mention of their feelings towards the machines. The machines are sold in the same way that printers are sold. Sell them cheaply so that people buy their pricey pods. Shops are constantly dumping stuff that doesn't sell and the fact that there are so many places selling an ever increasing selection of pods is all the evidence you should need.

This model is discontinued and been replaced by a model called Jolie. That's why John Lewis and other retailers are discounting them to clear.

no it's not discontinued. look on the lavazza website, both the models with the frother and without it are still being sold and another similar one too of the same model series among other models on the UK website

ps: the model mentioned here does it at 15 Bar pressure and the model you mention only achieves 10 bar pressure

It's actually a different machine; this also comes with a milk heater / hot chocolate maker and Lavazza pods.
I picked it up yesterday as I had an unused Christmas voucher - really pleased with it. The coffee pods are great and they can be picked up from amazon for about £18 for 60 pods which is going to save me a fortune in a morning.

Interested to hear the comments about the pricing. Yes,I've seen the machines heavily discounted to £14.99 but without the frothier. Great value. I agree that all the coffee manufacturers try to lock you into buying their pods thereafter. I did a bit of research and now make my own capsules for Modo Mio machines. I use SelfCap capsules, bought via distributor from Italy. Each coffee shot costs me around 15p, about 50% saving on the Lavazza boxed ones. And you can choose your own coffee. I make up about 20 caff and 20 decaf each week of my favourite types (normally the best value arabica beans I find). Remember to keep the made-up capsules airtight in a Tupperware box etc. Hope this helps.
