Nice little portable (battery or mains) bluetooth speaker, which (according to reviews) has a fairly decent sound quality. This usually goes for £25 - £50, depending on where you're shopping.
It's also available at Zavvi for the same price. Postage at iwoot is free and unconditional (free on orders over £10).
-- EDIT --
I received mine today, and I can confirm that I'm happy with the sound quality. It has a nice, all-round sound with decent bass; more bass than I would have expected from a speaker of this size (and price). I have a 'Pure One Elite' DAB portable radio and the sound quality on the Slam is at least as good, if not better than that.
There's no control on the Slam over EQ (bass and trebble) levels, but they seem to have it set up on a nice 'sweet spot', which I'm totally happy with.

For anyone still holding out hope they will ship it, I've just checked and they cancelled my order and never even told me.
Kept thinking "It may be sent out", but looks like it won't.

Right then, I think it's time to expire the deal.

Just checked the website and it's showing out of stock. If they don't get more stock soon I'll expire this listing.

Has anybody received theirs yet? I would have cancelled my order if I hadn't gone and bought batteries for it already.

anyone else had an email today saying 'We are sorry that the product(s) below has not yet been sent. '
has anyone received their order?

Yep, emailed asking why they said they were waiting for more from the supplier.... of the red one?? I ordered the black one??
Just sent an email saying to cancel it.
I've seen one that looks better in B&M earlier today for 7 quid more but looks much better and also has a rechargeable battery so probably going to try that and if it's no good at least I can return it then.

I added some info to the main description yesterday so you can check that, but yes it's a pretty good little speaker. For its size (and definitely its price) it gives off a good, all round sound with solid bass. Not massively powerful compared to a decent hifi system, but enough to fill a room in your house with a decent volume level and nice sound.

What's your opinion? Does it sound OK? I've ordered one to go with my echo dot but it's still not arrived yet.

I just received mine today, and I can confirm it's 3x C-cell batteries, or the mains adaptor supplied.

Could use AA to C adapters (haven't ever tried them though) and it does come with mains adapter.
Not sold on it yet but it's on the top of my "what to spend to get £5 top cash back".

We got my elderly mum one for christmas and she really likes it. If you don't really have a decent ear for quality sounding music this will do you ok, no audiophile would go near it though. Compared to either my Sonos play 1 or Bose sound link mini 2 the audio quality is garbage. Like I say though depends on your needs whether it's suitable for you or not at the end of the day, it's cheap and plays sounds..

I was going to bite there as it looked better value than the Anker SoundCore but the non rechargeable battery is a deal breaker even though it's 12w and cheaper. I just want something to connect to my Dot upstairs.
EDIT** It's £25.99 over on Amazon also according to the description there it has a "Built-in rechargeable battery with 18 hour play time," KitSound

Yes, C-cell batteries is a bit of a put-off. You can find rechargeable ones though, but since most of us don't have a C-cell charger, the reality price for this product is 12.99 + 16.44 for an RS universal charger and 3 x 3.41 for RS batteries = 39.66£...

That would be a selling point for me, if it took AA cells. But according to the Amazon product page it's C cells - no thanks.

12w for the price seems good, kitsound seem to be hit and miss as of late with all the cheap stuff you can find on the Vodafone store etc.
