...unless you don't bank with Barclays in which case it's a great price for security. You can download the 30 day free trial from the website too and then enter your pass code then - so effectively get 13 months coverage.

I've found Bitdefender pretty good, although as with all of them there's an impact on boot time. You can turn off boot sector scanning at startup which has minimised the impact, but I guess that's at the expense of a layer of protection.

if you prefer Bitdefender it's a similar price here also on offer.
I've recently stopped using this despite having 5 months of subscription left. It blocks some genuine websites like Tesco Direct and the secure browser it opens up when paying for some items can cause problems.

£6.99 for 5 Devices direct from Barclays, you don't have to be a customer either, I got mine from this link last year, the price is still the same.
Asks for an Online Banking Membership ID when you click buy, and states that your licence will be blacklisted if not verified by Barclays.

I'm afraid Kapersky are lying (again). It isn't designed or capable of protecting PCs. Except possibly those already infected with Windows. Removing the root cause doesn't cost anything. Anybody who can should seriously think about it.

I'm having a real nightmare with Kaspersky on my Mac lately having problems authenticating certificates for websites in Safari. Tried so many different things but can't get it fixed. Ended up uninstalling it after 3 years of using it and started using BitDefender trial. Anyone know of a decent deal for BitDefender as I quite like the product?

I’m in a similar situation, one month of Licence remaining. Now I’ve noticed the EBay offers require immediate activation whereas this one doesn’t mention any such restriction. So I could purchase now and delay activation or hold on for a month and hope the EBay offers are still available.

In my experience, the licence clock starts ticking for all licences when you activate the first one, so this won't give you 3 years on one device. Just to be aware.
Solid product, but there are often better deals out there - just search HUKD for 3 device and 5 device Kaspersky ...
Hsbc do Mcafee virus plus free but it's just the anti virus and not the total Internet security package like this one or Bitdefender for example.

Thanks, will take a look as I have an HSBC account although rarely used. I've 70 days left on existing Kapersky sub which I got after it was posted on here last year which if I recall was a bargain. Prior to that I had opted for Microsoft Security Essentials and before that Avast or AVG.

Do any other banks other than Barclays offer internet security software?

How does this offer compare with the various offerings on EBay, they appear to come in at half that price. Are they genuine?

voted hot ,I recently bought a 5 device key online for slightly more than this price
but if you only need a 3 device code and prefer to use a more reputable seller then this seems decent

Good value and yes free from Barclays for 3 devices. Luckily I am with Barclays so got their offer of 5 devices for £5 or £6. Use one licence for my Android phone. Have used Kaspersky for years. Unobtrusive and appears to do the job.
