Have you got a clue what you are talking about. Firstly have you ever been in a JO restaurant or even better worked in one. His chain cares more about their staff that probably most others. And why shouldn't Brexit affect his Italian restaurants - if you had been there you would see that a lot of the ingredients and products need tk be sourced from Italy, a country which has the Euro as its currency. Since Brex#*it the pound has lost 25% against all major currencies including the Euro. Simples!

Don't know where you get your Euros from - before the Brex#*it stuff took hold the pound was worth 1.42. It dropped to mid 1.20 in the days running up to the referendum and then jumped to mid 1.36 on the night of referendum when markets thoughts that remain had won. It just keeps dropping whenever Mrs may opens her mouth. This is only the start of the mess that this referendum has got us into - its not even started. You keep deluding yourself - I want to know where the £360 billion for the NHS is. At least the leave voters wil get their way with immigration - no one will bother wanting to come here

You can't just pick out the highest and lowest and claim the difference is all down to Brexit. (even then, your maths @ 25% is wrong). We will still be in the EU for more than two years! Currencies fluctuate all the time, it was at 1.14 in 2013 before the referendum was even on the radar. It was 350bn by the way and nobody claimed it would be spent on the NHS. What was said was that the funds we send to the EU 'could' be spent on the NHS if those in charge of the purse strings chose to. It's about time the Remoaners let it go now. The result is in, we will be leaving, get used to the idea and put your energies into making the best of it.

No. It plummeted swiftly pre referendum. It was performing as high as 1.40+ then holding around 1.30+ before the referendum outcome gathered force as being a serious possibility for an exit vote. All of which was to be expected. Lidl and other european supermarkets here are sustaining low prices so all he had to do was nip down to Aldi for the olive oil and pasta. This chain has failed for other reasons. Over expansion mainly. MPW chains are faring likewise.
Excellent deal op. A large granite Pestle and Mortar is a quality bit of kitchen kit whoever's name is on it. The JO brand is just imploding. Voted hot.

Completely useless, too small ... A good Pestle & Mortar needs to be at least 8" across & 6" deep to avoid spilling everything you're trying to smash/grind/crush etc!

The 360 billion is still being paid to the Evil EU , we cannot pay it to the NHS or anyone else for the next two years, we are still in this failing ideal of one big super state. How remoaners cannot grasp this simple fact is beyond me.

back to the topic, I hope my local Wilko has these as I need one. The small ones aren't great for preparing full quantities of curry powder/paste, but are good for giving some spices a quick bash.

The euro was never 1.20 before the referendum. the lowest it ever got was 1.235 and that was on fears of Brexit. It averaged about 1.35 before the referendum was called.
