I was looking for one of this units, in oak effect, and today I've spotted this in Ikea Tottenham(London) for 35pounds, reduced form 55.
Sorry, but I don't know if this is national or when will end.

these and their previous incarnation, expedit, have been the standard record deck & vinyl storage option for a long time. solid, easy to modify and hold a lot.

You could buy a second one, and then return the original (So long as you have the original receipt)

Anyone know how many DVDs these can hold

Not ideal for DVD's...shelves too deep and tall unless you want to stack them. Perfect for vinyl though!

As another poster said, they are very deep - unless you just want them hidden away it's not ideal. You can buy the Drona storage boxes for this unit (cost about £3 each) and they can hold about 80 DVDs each

nice setup! ...and OUCH!!! I always thought if I ever got the big one i'd scew some metal straight and L-shape bracing to give it extra strength. Hope there wasn't too much damage to the vinyl.

Know of any builds that use kallax? The expedit and tv stand looks the best as in your pic, but the new kallax is slighty different dimensions for that, think its 2cm shorter.

Interesting that it looks like the vinyls at the bottom are actually adding rigidity to the system

The side and top pieces for these are a bit thinner than the Expedit, but I couldn't tell there was any loss of strength from that.

Looks good for storing and displaying board games, if that's your thing.

In Tottenham they had a nice 4x4 green one with oak effect edges, for just 49 pounds(bargain corner), but it was to big for what I wanted.
Wished they had at 35 the green one so I could 'hack' it

At my store it's £39 on the offers screen but in green!
Why not have the same offers in every store?

If you go on to the IKEA website and select your store you'll then get the Offers section and it'll show in there.
