Hmm, some reverse psychology experimenting by Iceland on this one.
And if it is, it's costing you £1 given the 'free' ingredients are £4 in total.

Not too sure if this is a national deal - just been to my local Iceland and they did not have this offer on.

I knew it was too good to be true. Real maple syrup will set you back nearly a fiver on it's own. Which, is what I'll be saving mine for seeing as I already have everything except that.

aunt bessies pancake mix is horrible, it's ok for Yorkshire puds but not pancakes. The store branded tesco or Morrisons are way better and a fraction of the price.

What's the difference between a pancake pan and a regular pan of the same size? Is it not as tall at the sides and/or lighter?
crazylegs to thetarget
29 Jan 171#29
Yes so its easier to flip the pancake, I'm a bit of an expert anyway but makes it easier for noobies and amateur cooks to flip

Lighter weight and shallower - makes for easier tossing.

Why would you ever buy a pancake mix? Pancakes are flour, milk and egg, it's not rocket science.
MynameisM to paule23

it's not rocket science but for some reason they stick more than the mix so easier if kids want make them.

You've probably never had maple syrup before, can be a struggle to find the real stuff, quite pricey too. It is like wasabi in the fakeness respect, which is always just green coloured horseradish.

Must be a local deal as I popped into Edinburgh store to see if they had it but assistant hadn't heard of this offer. Seemed like a reasonable price for the pan and spray oil.

Really?
So when it says taken from sugar trees of Quebec on the bottle of Tescos finest bottle or 100% pure maple syrup on Aldis they're both lying about the origin of the contents? Hmmmmm.

Not impressed with Iceland! My shopping just arrive minus the pan which wasn't available. I've been charged full price for the pancake mix etc which I didn't need and only ordered because they were supposed to come free with the pan. :disappointed:
