Who gives a monkeys what it looks like if it drives well and is a good buy. We've just bought a tiny 05 reg Suzuki Alto, it's cheap as chips to run but looks ridiculously small. I don't really give a monkeys, it does what we need it to at a very low price.

Of which you were the only person to cite Hyundai DCT issues.

A great deal for those that just have to show off to their neighbours that they can "afford" a new car.
Even if they only spend £3300 on a Hyundai - for 18 months.
The OP didn't bother really including any information about the car itself. A cynical get might assume that they had something to do with the leasing site....
To anyone who goes for this it's an almost cert that there will be a lot of other motorists and neighbours admiring your new Hyundai - and wondering what you did to deserve a brand new one!
A lot of jealous people about...

looks like a Focus from the side, and a Honda from the back except a lot uglier!!
it might be cheap, but the ridicule from driving one, that I can't live with.

Maybe, I canthelp but feel like you would hoodwink people in to things with out really knowing that much detail yourself! One second on internet finds many statements that support my experience, this one from Evo magazine "Unfortunately, there are some inherent problems with the hybrid’s drivetrain too. Despite the electric portion of the drivetrain contributing 125lb ft of torque, it’s difficult to pull away from rest on electric power alone, and that means experiencing some surprisingly jerky changes from the dual-clutch ‘box and more noise than you’d hope for. CVTs may be bemoaned by enthusiasts, but in hybrids they’re simply a better match for the drivetrain.
Either way, buy what you want but you should not ignore the problems with a product or seek to cover them up in order to mercifully defend a deal so someone buys something they end up regretting!
I wouldn't buy a hybrid personally. All I've done is pointed out a cheaper deal for the same car and corrected your statement.

TBH even factoring in that issue, I'd say this is very keenly priced. The competition is considerably more expensive.

Ditto, I actually quite like it. Hence I've ordered the premium version on a 3+23 lease at £189.60 a month.
I'll admit it takes a while for it to put the power in when you put the accelerator down but I have no plans to drive this like a crazy person. Purely a decent sized car with lots of tech toys and good economy at a really good price.

not a bad price, but i wont ever touch a hyundai again, Started to get rusting on my brand new one after a year and they didn't' want to know (It was along to gap between front glass and roof where water sat)
Apparently it was caused by stone chips.... took it to 3 independent garages all said it was totally rubbish.
Ok i may have just got a Friday afternoon car, but the service was terrible no one wanted to know

Good fuel economy, not the best looking car but I suspect the target audience may not be so interested in looks - take the Prius for example.
Heat - also found on Contract Hire and Leasing for £196 in auto, with matenience included.

It's as if everyone that designs a hybrid for everyday use sits down and purposefully makes it look 'different' (i.e crap) to announce it is a hybrid. Presumably to please that certain type of buyer looking to make a statement.
Bit annoying really, so many manufacturers making the same mistake. This thing looks so ungainly from any angle except head on.

It's about drag coefficient to produce better fuel economy. That "fat ****"'shape of the Prius etc is just what's needed to slide through the air cleanly.

It isn't though. Every half decent car manufacturer has employed aerodynamic modelling for 30 years. Not every car with a low coefficient of drag looks like a walrus with it's fat **** in the air.
It's not a valid excuse to make an ugly car.

Its funny, it's like things like this are at the whim of personal opinion and are completely subjective because I quite like it.

That is exactly what it is, the Ioniq is the most aero dynamic car in is class and also one of the highest efficiency ratings in the EPA tests

Slightly better coefficient of drag than a BMW i8, Jaguar XE or Nissan GTR. Marginally better than an Audi A2 or Alfa Giulia. No better than a Mercedes CLA or Tesla Model S. None of these took a hiding from the ugly stick though. Oh well.

You were doing so well!
It looks like they gave the aerodynamics team the front third of... well frankly any Mercedes and told them to finish it off. The back end on the saloon looks like its been melted with a lighter. The estate (sorry shooting brake) designer should have been put down at birth!
From a pure electric point of view* (which is what the car was designed around) its probably the prettiest after the Zoe.
*Cars that normal people can afford so not Tesla ect.

I quite like the look of CLA but only in the right colour with the right spec and wheels. As most I see are just darker shades with standard wheels it's not so great. The car itself is a bit bleh. Still, the Ioniq makes it look positively pretty by comparison.
Tesla have already been on about the Model 3 coming this year having a Cd superior to this Hyundai and it looks fine.

Main issue is with the DCT box which is painful when the car switches between power modes.
