Project CARS being at the BTA tier when it's only just been in the Humble Monthly is a bit of a kick for monthly subscribers, but I can't deny that this is another great bundle. I can't quite decide whether I want to go to $15 for Tales of Zestiria - I love the Tales series, but do already have the game on PS4.
So as not to disappoint Buzz (), if anyone has any spare keys, from here or elsewhere, donations for my weekly giveaways are always very welcome!

Interesting timing on this Bandai Namco bundle - it made the news yesterday that the founder of Namco, Masaya Nakamura, died (on 22 of January) aged 91.
The average is £7.78 as I type (subject to Humble-style currency conversion).
Not sure whether to bite - enough Pacman to make me feel a little ill!!! :stuck_out_tongue:

Just in case anyone was wondering On Demand Pack is basically the same as GOTY, as it has all the DLC available.

I can't disagree with you on the state of the exchange rate!
Apologies, your post read to me as a response to that from format just above you, which explained that the rates are different. On small amounts like this though, you're right that the impact is minimal.
Discotech
2 Feb 17#80
That 3% is literally nothing though and I meant, they don't just make up a random rate, it's always fixed based on the actual exchange rate and the exchange rate flat out sucks right now
Illusionary
2 Feb 17#79
Unless you're referring to something else, there *is* a fee attached to the PayPal rate - see the comparison below. For conversion to USD, the PayPal rate takes a 3% cut and is, I believe, based on the rate for the previous day.
Discotech
2 Feb 17#78
Thanks Brexit..... Exchange rate is absolutely atrocious
£1 = $1.2 and paypal doesn't use any made up rate, it's the same rate from XE.com
Still a good deal, but damn the £ is so weak right now, probably going to get even weaker

paypal use a different conversion rate so they can take their skim - it's not like they exist for philanthropy. seems to be in the region of 3% more than exchange rate but that's a few pennies.

Folks,
On Humble it currently says the $15 dollar tier works out at £11.87. I go to pay through PayPal and it says total I will pay is £12.28. Am I doing something wrong or is that just a standard markup PayPal has on conversion rates? It is the case if I recallm just wanted to be sure as I haven't used PayPal in ages and rarely ever used it.

I love the Ace Combat games, but Assault Horizon is pants. Enslaved is poor as well.

It's okay, you can do supersampling which improves it somewhat. But PCars is incredibly intensive, even on a gtx 1080 SS x1.4 is your max! It looks good but still feels like your playing at a 800x600 desktop resolution.
VR has a looooong way to go before you can't notice pixels. I'm selling mine and waiting for gen 2 or even 3 to be released.

Hot ! Bought for Project Cars + DLC. Already have Assetto Corsa, but at this price, I can have both  There's some overlap, but now I've tried both, it's worth having them both. Assetto Corsa has better track and car graphics, and more interesting official car licences (eg Ferrari, Porsche) but Project Cars has a good selection of tracks and cars not covered by Assetto Corsa. There are some great French Riviera and San Francisco Bay road tracks in PC if, like me, you like that kind of thing

I wonder if it's a coincidence or if this deal is to commemorate the death of the Founder of Namco who died on the 22nd of January.
Really good deal, I'm unsure if I should pay $35 for Little Nightmares. I am surprised by Zesteria and Project Cars, both games are relatively new, I was thinking of paying about the same just for for Zesteria on the Weekend, which I thought was a great deal.

HL2 was incredibly immersive in VR. It no longer works with current VR drivers so I suspect Valve has got something much bigger up their sleeves :stuck_out_tongue:
PCARS is well worth playing in VR, though it could be vastly improved by higher resolution/wireless HMDs.

Bit of a mixed bag of games, what with it being a publisher themed bundle, but there are some good ones in there, just depends on taste - I'll being going for the $15 tier to get Tales of Zestiria but Project Cars isn't my thing. It can't be a good sign that Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade is in a bundle so soon but I'll take it, although it's just making me wish that they would put Mark of Chaos/Battle March on Steam.
It's worth pointing out that Little Nightmares is $19.99 on Steam, so the way this bundle is priced actually makes it one whole cent more than retail price. Not sure what the $20 difference works out to with Paypal after currency conversion, but the game is £15.99 in the UK Steam store and GamesPlanet are currently selling it with 15% off at £13.59 so it will probably be cheaper to buy it there - but, hey, at least with HB you're giving some to charity!
