I think it's quite safe to say that the entrance fee alone is worth it just for XCOM 2. The rest are a bonus.
Okay, so the rest of the bundle games are live now. There's nothing really there for me so I think I'll cancel, give the games to Illusionary for the Weekly Giveaway :sunglasses:
Still heat for XCom - thanks OP!

Yes, but I mean when I log in, it is changing to $ and at $7.99 (emoticons got in the way of that original message). No VPN etc in use
Now that I got home, for some reason I'm unable to even sign into my gmg account at all arghhh, nor can I even reset password. I seem destined to never be able to order that game. GMG is a terrible site.
I don't suppose some kind soul would purchase on my behalf and I paypal gift them the money lol
I had an email overnight from humble bundle offering 10% off this bundle, so $10.80. This is for people who previously subscribed then cancelled. You can also get a $5 voucher for the main store so check your emails!!

The free Long War 2 mod for XCOM 2 (paid for by the Firaxis team behind XCOM 2) has arrived, expanding any purchase of XCOM 2 with a large, free DLC:
"The word 'mod' undersells The Long War 2. 'Mod' implies an aesthetic tweak, a UI correction, a new weapon perhaps. In fact this is XCOM 2 as developed in a parallel universe. The Long War 2 does add lots of new weapons, classes and skills, but all these service a set of bespoke design aims that turn XCOM 2 from a survival strategy game into a gradually paced army and territory management sim with expanded combat encounters."
When do the next lot of this months subscription games released? I'd like to know when to cancel, see :stuck_out_tongue:
I've actually used the 10% discount several times already for friends and family but I'm finished now and I don't want to forget...

The current free Dirt Showdown game if purchased (deal runs until Sat 6pm), includes a 10% off voucher for Humble Monthly (so £8.89 for XCOM 2 + others):

does the xcom 2 dlc add missions/story, or is it purely just cosmetic stuff as the vids I've briefly checked here at work look like its just the latter
Illusionary to Midnight Tboy
11 Jan 171#53
Both:
Anarchy's Children - cosmetic
Alien Hunters - new mission and 'ruler' aliens
Shen's Last Gift - new mission and class (mechs)
Resistance Warrior Pack - cosmetic

Just a side note, they go by the RRP to decide the value of all the games in the bundle. It doesn't really matter since Xcom 2 is worth 10 quid on its own, but because Xcom 2's RRP is 60 dollars, the rest of the games are going to be much lower value overall.

No. This went live yesterday and is part of next month's bundle mate. XCOM 2 is the early unlock you receive

Great deal, this and Project Cars make it a good month.
I like that for £8, you get a good selection of different games you wouldn't normally buy. Each month I install every one and make sure I play each for a good 10-15mins. Sure, you'll uninstall some instantly, but others will be a surprise and stick around. I still play previous months titles like... Rocket League (250hrs+), Grim Dawn (50hrs+), Stardew Valley (85hrs+), The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing (10hrs, only started this week).
Great value for money gaming, considering a full price / console game might cost you the same as 6x months subs!

7 Jan 17#44
Yeah, I've been subscribed for a year now and even the bad months have been worth it. The early unlock game is almost always worth the price of admission alone - I've already had some of them, so then they've been spare copies for friends, traded or sold. Then the rest of the games are unlocked and there are always some nice surprises in there - for anyone who got January's bundle, Jotun is a lovely little game with beautiful artwork and The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky is an excellent JRPG, so give both of those a chance. I already had them unfortunately but at least I got to discover Mother Russia Bleeds (Hotline Miami meets Streets of Rage). As I trade or sell my spare keys I don't think any of these bundles has actually cost me anything!

To anyone looking to buy then cancel it is worth noting you get a 10% discount on humble store purchases while you are subbed. You won't be charged again until a week before the whole of the next bundle is released (not this one) so you have until then to cancel. If you like the look of the early access game of the next bundle you can also opt to pay for that bundle early to get it the same time as new subscribers.

7 Jan 17#34
do they normally give a free game when you first subscribe, or just this time?
Illusionary to hezmeister
7 Jan 17#35
This isn't a 'free' game, just an early unlock from the full bundle. There's always an early unlock 'headline' game on offer each month.

I promised myself I wasn't going to buy any more of these since they started putting past monthly bundle games in the bottom tier of regular bundles but it's hard to argue with XCOM 2 for £10.
EDIT: Just bought/ redeemed it and checked on Steam - no DLC with it, you just get the base game. Although based on what people have said in Steam reviews about DLC it doesn't sound like you're missing out on a whole lot.
