Sorted - I've replaced the receipt with a generic photo of the phone.
But I've seen your receipt and can confirm the price is accurate, as per your post

Shame most of the units came with a poor display that had pink tint issues amongst others.
Returned 4 of them in total due to them all having the TIANMA panel. Some were linked than others, but all had horrible yellowing towards the bottom of the screen.
The sharp panels are supposed to be a lot nicer but for some reason seem to be hard to come by in the UK.

Never dropped a phone in a river or the loo. Waterproofing is a gimmick to me.

HTC's U Ultra and Play have skipped over the headphone jack, waterproofing and wireless charging for some reason. Just odd when other high-end handsets haven't, and another example of HTC missing tricks when trying to be competitive. They make largely desirable phones but miss features people want - not saying waterproofing is essential but it's nice to know you get a bit of protection from the elements after spending all that money.

We'll have to wait and see, but either way there's going to be a price drop on the HTC 10 sooner or later. I'm not sure what that has to do with the headphone jack?
HTC aren't exactly known for great marketing strategy, but I wouldn't say they're dead yet as it hasn't been a strong year for any of the major smartphone companies.

This is HTC's flagship, and they have strongly hinted that this line is their focus (so no HTC11). Even if it isn't true it's pretty much certain the 11 won't have a headphone jack. This phone doesn't even ship until March, so it would make no sense to launch another flagship device before then.
tldr: HTC is dead, take your custom elsewhere to other manufacturers. S8, G6 and Chinese phone refreshes are due out in the next few months

Yeah, they're also releasing a successor to the HTC 10 at MWC in Feb.
I'm going to wait till then and hope this gets a price drop.

If this device was strapped to your leg and locked there would be uproar, unless you committed a reasonably serious crime. Because you pay to have this device suggests that you are happy to be tracked with everything this phone allows. You choose to take the tracking device everywhere with you. Freedom fail.

I'm happy to be tracked, in fact I find it very useful. Just got back from a trip and every time I looked at my phone it had flight updates and boarding cards ready for me already.
Wow your paranoid! "Normal" people that aren't up to anything so do worry about the alleged "tracking"

Any phone with a SIM card can be tracked, I know what you mean with Android, especially when connected to 3G/4g/Wifi (watch the film Snowden), you have paid to give up your privacy, this is the world we live in, EVERYTIME you use your debit card you can be tracked.

Fair point but does not just have to be passengers - any staff who work at the airport as well as airline crew and many others can also get into Dixons Travel and buy stuff from there so useful if you know someone who might be able to pick one up for you. They quite often have some great prices - and before anyone says so, no, it is not 'tax' or 'duty' free.

A Bargain. Had this phone since August 2016. definitely one of the most underrated phones of 2016. According to youtuber Jerryrigeverything the most durable phone of 2016.

Not very durable as it's one of the only 2016 flagships that isn't waterproof. Mines dead as a doornail . Last time I buy a HTC. SD card constantly unmounted aswell .
