Anybody else get the despatch message today? Will it most likely arrive on Monday or Tuesday?

I emailed them with my order reference and they adjusted the price for me pretty quickly to this current price of £32.85
I'm happy with that.

Trying to cancel the pre order I made when the price was £34.85 so I can pre order at this price, but there is no cancel order option showing on the website.
Strange. There used to be an option when viewing orders.

Maybe get in touch with them? They should be able to amend it for you

Unfortunately I think kelbased is right and it's not possible to play this without being online. For me personally that is a huge negative and means I'll probably be giving this a miss too.
I understand the developers want to add extra content/have leaderboards etc but I think that insisting a single player game must always be online (with no option for an offline mode) is unforgivable.
A shame as I loved the previous games and it sounds like this is an excellent instalment in the series. Heat by the way.
This changes somewhat with the physical release - all Elusive Target contracts will become available following 31 January.
This is a good question, the answer to which is - it appears not. That actually makes me question whether to purchase right now, as I'd be perfectly happy buying pre-owned or discounted a little way down the line - I'd previously assumed that the SteelBook might be in short supply.
Been watching some trailers. They keep saying that you have one opportunity to kill the target. How do those missions fit into this?

Those are special missions called 'Elusive Targets'! Basically what happens is that the devs introduce a new custom character to an existing map with his own itinerary and a load of different ways to assasinate him. He's only available for a limited time and you only get once chance to kill him [i.e. you can't replay the mission]. So at the moment my ingame menu screen is showing that I have 88 hours [there's a countdown] to kill someone called 'The Chameleon' on the Colarado, USA map/mission.
I heard this has DRM? If that's the case, then this will be the first Hitman game I'll be sitting out on. I personally feel that requiring internet to play a single player game is absolutely ridiculous, as when the servers go down the game will be a useless frisbee.

It's a console release, everything has DRM attached implicitly. The online functionality isn't mandatory.

I'm usually the most impatient person ever, but with this I'm going to wait until they release it as a whole and not support this stupid seasonal bullshirt.
Already been screwed with the rainbow six season pass.

This is the complete game, as far as was originally planned - you may be mixing up 'seasonal' vs 'episodic' release formats?

I was against the whole episodic thing too. Hence why i didn't buy the game until the full season was released. Bought it about 3 weeks ago. I have to say the game is amazing and has really impressed me. Now that I've played it I can actually say that I think the episodic thing could work for a game like Hitman. This is because of how massive and detailed each mission is. I think you could spend 15 hours on one mission and still not discover everything (obviously this only works if you don't cheat and use a guide but instead explore/observe). Plus on top of that they introduce new targets and missions during that month which gives you more to do.
Don't get me wrong I would hate for other games to start doing this as it just wouldn't work. But it does for Hitman. I'll probably give season 2 a chance and buy it on release so i can experience the episodic thing [to see if I'm right] rather than wait for the 'complete' pack.
Btw Season 2 is basically going to be the next game in the series. And it isn't like a **** season pass because your not paying extra for something on top of the standard game. You pay once for the game but then the missions are released throughout the year rather than at once.

I know it's the new day and age. I just like the traditional stance around waiting for a game that's fully completed. Complete edition to enjoy. Even prefer physical copies but I can tell everything will be digital soon enough.

Heat for the price but I am not a fan of these stupid DLC chapters being released digitally. Stick to making a full game and release. I will get this physical copy finally but I personally think it will drop in price a lot within two months. Some big releases as well between February and march.

The game's been incredibly successful with its digital, episodic release model - it's highly unlikely that they'd change that for season two. Of course, if you don't like the model yourself, you're under no obligation to purchase.

What makes me laugh is the whole enemies getting suspicious .Example maybe some staff members like in paris because they would know all the staff so when see you wearing same outfit they would get suspicious . Yet you can run around with a sniper on your back when dressed as a security guard how does that make sense . Is putting a briefcase in game that hard so can store weapons sniper etc Go a step further maybe guitar case with machine gun that you shoot within the guitar case . Spraying up whole rooms and walking casually out . The auto fire uprgrade for silver ballers . Nothing better thenjust going crazy with them with the upgrades and other days using standard silencer . Human shield . Dragging bodies while u point gun used love that . Simple things to add the list goes on .Being able to hold flowers and point gun threw them killing targets like that would be great . Same with any object like pizza boxes anything you can shoot a pistol threw .I could go on there is so much they could do with this game but they hold back . You know season two they well add suitcase why not then add suitcase and any new weapons they add to season 2 to season one . Developers hold out now days .

How many seasons will there be? Am I right in thinking that this is basically everything that exists so far? I've held off on this because of the stupid episodic nature of the whole thing but a man can only wait so long before he bites..

A second season has been confirmed, but this is everything released to date. There's no word on timing of the second season yet, and if/when that receives a physical release I'd expect it to be standalone.
